Please before you say the dixons deal is better no its not well not anymore anyway.

A few days ago my dad ordered this tv for me from dixons using some voucher codes to get it to around £525 (Original price was around £580)and you only got 1 year guarantee. But today he got a call saying we cannot complete your order as we have no stock and we don't know when it is coming back in stock. But guess what if you look on there website there is stock and also they have raised the price to £600. So really they just did not want to give us it for the lower price.

But I have found this one in John Lewis for £549 you get the same tv as the dixons one but also free 5 year guarantee, So he has just ordered one.

Don't suppose you have a 360 or PS3 hooked up to it? If so whats it like for games like Gears of Metal Gear?
#3
My brother just bought one of these tellys... I took my ps3 down to see what its like and it was almost as good as my top of the range sony bravia... if mine ever blew up, id have no problems ordering one of these!! :)
#4
Looks like a good price. Why does Toshiba not publish any figures about power usage of their tvs? Do they have something to hide?
#5
I paid £586 for this Just last week!!! aaaaaahhhhhhhhh

HOT price!

Also, I have sky hd,ps3 and 360 all hooked up to it and they look amazing!........really good black levels! and with the good high ratio it even makes SD tv look way better than my 40" HD ready samsung lcd i replaced wih it did!

Unlike some of the biggest electrical High st outlets, i have never had problems returning stuff or getting items repaired from JL.Probably the last of the genuine, honest retailers.
i had a problem with my Tosh and backlight "Buzz" A known problem. They replaced it with the latest model.
No questions.
Try walking into some of the other long established Electrical outlets. All they want to do is sell you an extended warranty.

for £37 more you can get the great toshiba upscaling dvd player as well which costs around £90: http://www.johnlewis.com/230520951/Product.aspx

could probs sell it for £75 or so on ebay and make £30 profit which would make this tv £520.

You're never going to get an objective opinion from someone who just blew 6 ton on a telly- of course theyre gonna say it looks great.

Yeah I have Xbox360, Wii, cablebox (standard definition) & an upscaling Sony DVD player linked up & I'm very happy with all picture qualities. The xbox on this TV is stunning, you have to be careful though because sometimes your picture is so good (and big) that you forget to blink & your eyes water like crazy!! :-D

Only got Gears 1 & it's excellent but COD4 is the one. The really thin frame makes the screen look massive compared to the likes of samsungs/Panasonic.

Thanks for the replys can't wait until the 25th now lol.

No, but if I wasn't impressed with the picture I would have sent it back to dixons the day I got the TV for a refund (I'm quite fussy with my purchases). I cannot fault the picture, although I don't watch any sports on it so can't comment on that.

It really depends if you have a Sony/Panny LCD/Plasma TV sat next to it to make the picture comparisons reviewers do?! I didn't have any TV because my CRT blew up.....RIP :-D

ordered with dvd player. Cheers. There seems to be 1 year free dvd rental with the dvd player too which is a bonus.

Top deal.

Hot!!! This site should come with a health warning - Can be dangerous to your bank balance! :p
#32
I have a Tosh HD EP30 dvd player - is there any point in buying this dvd with the TV or should I just get the TV itself? A couple of family members picked up 37" cv 555 's from Richer sounds (and they are pleased) but is this a big improvement? (as its 10-80p) ??

Mines just says processing. Don't have a delivery date. Where doesn it tell you the delivery date?

Hi Foolsgold, When i ordered one of the sections in the order process asks which date you would like the item delivered. Delivery was free even for Saturdays. I don't know why you didn't encounter the delivery date selection page during ordering.

Hi, thanks for that (rep added). I live on an island and although delivery is still free, it might be be because of that. Usually items are delivered to the boat and then handed over as opposed to the same carrier delivering it all the way through.

Merry Christmas :santa:
