This is the upgrade on the very popular 42AV635DB which I got for £441 from Currys going through quidco in November-

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/515508/toshiba-42av635db-42-1080p-lcd-tv-4

But this seems to be the best price for the 42xv635db since the cashback offers ended in november.

The 42" Regza XV combines HD ready 1080p picture processing with a stylish contemporary high-gloss design. The 42" XV features Resolution technology which enhances edge detail and texture to upscale standard definition content to near high definition quality providing clearer, sharper, richer images. The 42" XV delivers an amazing 100 frames per second thanks to Active Vision M100 HD Pro picture processing technology. Integrated Dolby Volume stops those annoying changes in volume levels as you switch between channels or your home entertainment systems, to provide a consistent volume level at all times.

I've got this television.

Picture is great, I'm also running it from my Revo 3600 for HD and its pretty amazing.

Sound is pretty average - usable but nothing to write home about.

DivX playback through the USB socket is fine - a bit clunky and navigating around a movie is pretty cumbersome but handy for dropping the odd film onto a memory stick and watching it.

Overall quite a nice television set :D
