Don't think this has any 3D glasses included, so factor in the cost of those.

cheapest price anywhere from a trusted retailer, theres a 2nd hand one on cash generator for this price! heat from me.
#5
Heat from me, superb buy, forget the 3D just the fact its LED and smart @ 46" and with 5y warranty. Plus theres a code gor free delivery on the same page.

Bought the 40" version a while ago when it was £399 and I was a bit disappointed, it is very average as a TV with few image options. Does not come with glasses, which cost about £60 per pair, you can get universal 3D glasses from amazon for about £30 but the 3D was absolute s***t. Tried several 3D games and blue rays on my PS3 and although the 3D works, you can barely tell the difference between that and 2D and your wondering why you're wearing the glasses in the first place. Not sure if it's the unofficial glasses I got, since the reviews for them are high and they work just fine but don't care to spend any more to find out.
Bottom line, good price for a massive 46" LED internet enabled TV, but if you're looking to try the 3D, don't bother, spend a bit more and get one of those Panasonic deals that are going on. Also there's sever light bleeding on mine when the pictures all black.

Have read some rather poor reviews regarding heavy motion blur on Polish AV forum, where this set comes from and thus is popular there. It's a class down comparing to Sony, Panasonic or Samsung in my opinion, so good buy when price is the main factor, but not when picture quality is.

I have the 40tl868 great tele, would highly recommend

****. I just bought this 2 weeks ago from Currys £580 and only 12 month warranty!

Love the TV. The cheapest I found glasses for was £50 each at direct tvs. Hope this helps.

Excellent price - couldn't resist so bought one 8)

Is it wall mountable??????????????????
#16
Unless you specifically want 3D, I'd say this isn't a great purchase.
Could get a vastly better 2D Panasonic 50" for just £80 more.
#17
yes it's wall mountable plus don't forget about the 5 year warranty.
#18
Thanks for that. I can't decide on a panasonic tx-p46st30 for £549 on dixons or this tv . I see this tv only gets average reviews but the 5 yr warranty is almost tempting me to it. Anyone else who owns this toshiba want to try and convince me?

My son has the 40" version. The picture is excellent and the sound is very good for such a slim tv. The frame is very thin, just slightly bigger than the top of the range Samsungs. All in all this is a good stylish television at a remarkable price. 5 year guarantee, Freeview HD, Wifi dongle around £30! I had no hesitation in ordering one as soon as I saw the offer.

I have this. It does have Optical out, has Freeview AND Freesat (but no EPG for this).

Superb in HD, not so good for SD.

It has a FREESTAT tuner as well......thats news to me,and probably news to Toshiba as well X)

How do people always seem to know where the TV was manufactured? Any website with that info, or is it people in the know?
#25
The SD picture is pretty poor on this set with quite a lot of judder on camera panning. HD looks good on the set however. 3D through the official specs is apparently very good and is full HD unlike some of the Samsung range.

Sound is fine for general front room viewing between levels 15-21, turn it up to 23 or more and you start getting some vibration from the speakers.

Some of the 40" sets have a fault that Toshiba are looking into, where a black line or tear appears at random whilst using an HDMI input. Not sure if 46" version has the same fault.

The set look very good with a lovely thin bezel. I thought 37" would be the limit in my front room, but this at 40" looks no more out of place than my old 32" LCD.

The freeview EPG is terrible and very slow. It doesn't have Freesat as such, but has a satellite input but again, has no real great EPG to speak of when using this service and you'll scan in several duplicate TV stations. Firmware updates are being released for it, so Tosh know it's far from perfect at the moment.

Hope this helps someone :)

All 2nd hand goods at cash generator work out more expensive than buying brand new.

How do people always seem to know where the TV was manufactured? Any website with that info, or is it people in the know?

Because Toshiba dont make tv's in Europe any more - they are made by Vestel who mainly badge their tv's Technika (for Tesco,) Toshiba, or Luxor (usually found in Asda).
If you can go into any of these stores and press menu to get the options up on screen - on EVERY tv the icons and options are identical as they are the same tv inside the case ;-)
