Ok, thanks. Edited.

good price for a 7200rpm .

Inside an enclosure would this need more power than a 5 volt usb can support as it's 7200 rpm?

I wouldn't have thought so but you can get the additional USB connector for getting power via a second USB port - ideally though this would be more for internal use and if your looking for a hard drive to use in an external enclosure you might want to consider one running at 5400 RPM as your going to be constrained to speed of the USB port.

There are a couple of deal threads on the go just now for 500GB 2.5" 5400 RPM hard drives here on HUKD.

It will work but 5400rpm drives are reccomended. This drive will produce more heat.

Apparently this drive is cooler, quieter and more energy efficient than older 5400rpm drives.

Ofcourse and its a good price. It actually runs cooler and consumes less energy than most 5,400 rpm drives. Sames goes for the Hitachi Travelstar 7,200 rpm. You get slightly faster loading too as a bonus.

Although this is 7200RPM, you can get a Sammy 2.5" 640GB for £45 at ebuyer if you want the extra storage. Both good buys but i'd rather have the extra storage
