couldnt go through the hassle of claiming £50 cash back and also if littlewoods decide that the code was not suppose to be used by anybody living and take the money back :p

Excellent deal! I was just about to buy this laptop from PC world today as well. I have saved myself a small fortune now.
#3
So its only a £ 250 laptop if you jumped through all the hoops, and yours jumps are accepted by all the other people. otherwise lets face it its far from being a £ 250 laptop
#4
Is the deal ONLY on that laptop?

Seems like a cracking deal at first and i was going to get one for my sister but there may be a few problems!
Firtstly i know a lot of people have had problems with vouchers for the catologue companies, personally my orders have alwasy been honoured by them, i got Halo 3 and Bioshock for the XBOX 360 when they first came out for under £25 each!
Anyway if there is a problem with the code then you can always send it back! May take some time for the money to come back but for £80 off its worth a go!
The real problem i think lies with the cash back! The catologue description describes a TK-57 processor and the only laptop in the A210 range to have that is the A210-19T which is not actually part of the £50 cashback deal! Im not sure where the A210-1AZ number came from but the specs are different!
So it looks like the best price for this will be £320 if the voucher is accepted, dropping to around £300 with quidco. Still not a bad price for a Toshiba Satellite!
Im going to think about it!

I have bought it I got the £80.00 off with the voucher code no problem at all, I go the cash back no problem at all from toshiba and I got the extra 6% also via quidco validated no problem at all. So yes i did get it for £250. :p

You have got the Toshiba cashback already?
What model is the laptop that Marshall Ward sent you then? You shouldnt be able to get cashback on the 19T model!

Just interested as i would get it if the cashback worked!
#8
The laptop is a non Pro. ie. its a A210-19T matching specs from toshiba web site.

Thank you for confirming that you purchased a Toshiba Satellite Pro in order to claim your £50.00 cashback laptop.

so, how do you get cash back ??

I can get the code XX212 to do anything?

my mistake it did!!! takes it off after
#12
i def couldnt get the free delivery code to add, popped up with window saying to call

I'm not sure that this laptop is one of the qualifying £50.00 cashback laptops. The only AMD laptop with 120GB hard disk has a TK55 processor. Marshall Wards laptop has a TK57. Be careful before you buy. Just make sure you can get the cash back. I'm not sure you can.
#14
I've checked also, and the Satellite Pro model comes with 1GB RAM and a TL-55 processor, whereas the non-pro model comes with 2GB RAM and a TL-57 processor (which matches the specs on the Marshall Ward website)

Still a pretty good deal though, I think :S

I agree that you do get cashback on the A210-1AZ but the spec that Marshall Ward is advertising is not for this model, it is for the A210-19T and you dont get cashback for that one!

So either Marshall Ward are falsely advertising it and it is the 1AZ, which has the lesser TK-55 processor and only 1GB of memory, and it is possible to get cashback or it is the 19T and nobody will get cashback.

Ian if they did send you the 1AZ then i would phone them and say that they sent you an inferior product to the one that was advertised!!!

I can see 2 scenarios really you get the 1AZ for £250 or you get the 19T for £300, £50 extra for a better processor and an extra 1GB of memory!
I still think its a fairly decent deal, not as great as the dell deals last month, but matches the recent ones and some people may prefer to go with a Toshiba!
Whos going to go for it then??? :whistling:

:p

Damn... I forgot the quidco... but still a great deal - I've gone for it, as I can't find a similar spec laptop anywhere else for that money and I'm happy with Toshiba laptops :)

Hi Gigiguru or ianrbertson01,

Please could you tell me the spec of the laptop that you received and if it qualified for the £50cashback.

Many thanks,

Ordered today, expected delivery 31st March

I'll tell you the specs when it turns up, but if it is the lower specced one with the cashback, it's going back! lol

So the model you received was the A210-1AZ ?

If this is the case Marshal Ward is advertising the wrong model on the website!

Maybe the original description of the laptop in this thread should be changed to point this out !
#21
I'll let you guys know which exact model it is when it turns up.

If it is the A210-1AZ, then I'll definately be sending it back, as I'd much rather pay the extra £50 for the larger hard disk, faster processor and double memory

It will be too late by then tho for the cash back offer!

As far as I can see both models have the same size hard drive @ 120 GB

No :x i'm a bit peeved considering they said delivery on the 27th nearly a week overdue . I rang marshall ward last night and they said that they are waiting for toshiba to deliver to them, and then they send it on to me, but they said it could be as late as the 15th of april until they get it, i am not to happy about that.
#27
Mine says delivery Friday, so we'll see if it turns up then. The laptops are delivered directly from the supplier (though I doubt it's Toshiba direct)

Hi Guys,
Nice to hear that your machines have turned up.

So you both got the higher spec laptops (the ones that were shown on the site) & not the A210-1AZ.

I think ianrobertson01 received the A210-1AZ model, hence his cash back (See post # 11)....
ianrobertson01
The model is the A210-1AZ Pro and you do get cashback on this model I can assure you.

I'm not going to try to be honest, its a steal for the spec of the laptop anyway - let's see if the Quidco goes through ;)
