  I just posted this from my iPad. For browsing I would never pick up the Toshiba over the iPad. Don't get me wrong the browser on these is excellent but what these are good for is watching films on the go from sd card or plugging into the tv to watch films.

  this is an old model, due to lower down under £200 very fast like every other model with a tegra dual core and a HD screen

  i'm not so sure, i've been waiting for the xoom or the first transformer to drop to £200 for ages now and they're still not there, not sure how long it'll take for tablets such as these to reach that stage

  I own an iPad 2, iPad 3, Toshiba at200 and a nexus 7 and i have owned many samsung tabs, in my opinion none of the androids beat the iPads for browsing or gaming. The nexus is too small and both are not as fluid as the iPads. When typing both the androids are laggy and when browsing the iPads beat the androids 90% of the time. I use browsers on the iPad that do work with flash and are capable of switching to desktop mode. I have also jail broke my iPads so can download/upload. I have not rooted my Toshiba so can't comment on roms

  Could you elaborate as to why? I have Android and IOS devices and wouldn't in a million years ever browse on the IOS device over android, no flash, no ability to change the user agent to desktop sites, no way to change the default browser, no download/uploads etc.

  Seriously nice tablet, my mom has an asus transformer and this is way way lighter and thinner, the screen is acceptable and it has gps which is something i want in any tablet i buy. This is a seriously good tablet to hold and in all honesty i think is way way better than the ipad. It feels small and comfortable to hold and is fast enough to give a good experience, yes apple may have more apps but for my use this is more than excellent. If this ever drops to £150 or thereabouts i would buy another in a flash.

  I know i have said it is good but you really have to hold one to appreciate the thinness and weight of this device, on the internet and in youtube videos it does not give even a close feeling of the thinness it actually looks a bit crap with the sides having a ridge in them but in reality that is irrelevant and actually looks rather nice. Don't judge a tablet by youtube or photos on the internet, they really have not done this tablet justice and put me off a bit, yes I only purchased it because i got it for a really special price but i know i have not made a mistake and i will not be selling it on to make a profit as i was going to , this is one i will be keeping.
