Well that is me out, I was hoping that the 50" TV was included too.

You can get decent LG or Sony blu ray players when on offer for this price:
2 out of 5 (grainy dvd picture): http://www.whathifi.com/review/bdx1250
2 out of 5 (bad build quality, poor remote) http://www.t3.com/reviews/toshiba-bdx1250-review
I'd avoid personally.
You can get firmware for it yes, just not australian firmware.
The 1250 CANNOT be made region free. Do NOT purchase if you are hoping to make it so.
"Dimensions: H42.5 x W430 x D200mm" Looks like it occupies 3 dimensional space to me.
Bluray region free or DVD region free.
I don't care about Bluray region free but DVD region free would be nice.

From Trusted Reviews: The highlight is the USB port which allows you to play MP3, JPEG, MKV, AAC, WAV and AVCHD files without the rigmarole of burning them to disc.

From M+S reviews:
"quality of picture very good, easy to use, two criticisms the usb connection is a let down limited file formats played, remote small.
If the file formats were to be increased this would be the ideal player to buy."
