We've been here before with this Argos/Tosh/LoveFilm deal but here's the twist...

£89.99 spend on Tosh Player & Love Film + £10.01 spend on other Argos tat before the 1st of August and you get 2 x £10 vouchers, one to spend in August and one to spend in September.

So effectively the player + LoveFilm is £70 if you have a good use for the extra £30 spend at Argos.

Even though the Argos site doesn't show the LoveFilm promotion, the deal is still valid until the end of September. I bought the last one in Slough today and have just registered for the deal.

I realise that these are still a bit like rocking horse poop but I've checked in and around Berkshire and Surrey and there are one or two still kicking around.

Yes, LoveFilm supply DVDs and BluRays

What's the difference between the one in the OP and this one:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0851943/Trail/searchtext%3EBDX2000.htm

They both seem to be the same model, but that's £10 more?
#4
Be careful with this if you're getting it for the Lovefilm subs. I bought this a couple of months back and got it.

Looking at my form, you will have to buy this before 31/7 AND register it with them before 7/8, then send the forms to reach them by 21/8. If none of these are done or something goes wrong, you wont get it. I had to submit the forms twice and it took over a month...

Don't know to be honest. Not sure there's any availability for that one. Not in my area anyway.

Reserved mine on Tuesday night as the last one in the branch. The one for £10 more was not in stock.

Offer is confusing but worse case scenario is buy by July 31 and get forms off within 7 days.

Weird website at Toshiba as implies offer lasts longer.

Will buy by close of play today - just need to work out what to buy for £10 - 8gb SD card or something like that. Would have liked the Panasonic BD-RW discs at half price but not in my local store.
#15
I bought 101 of these to make up to the £100 :-)

This has been listed before. Fir the person who wnated to know the difference between this and the more expensive model look for the thread as its discussed on there. People were suggesting the extra £10 was worth it for the usb port and other reasons. It will also get you closer to the £100 target for the £20 rebate.

Not such a good deal for some I suspect - unless they've changed, which is of course possible. 'LOVEFILM' have ripped off to many people I know in the past, particularly when trying to cancel membership etc. This is off course my opinion only - others may have better experience etc....

:(

Never had a problem cancelling Lovefilm - I joined several times and cancelled late at night so I did not have to phone and each time was okay.

"twelve (12) month standard Lovefilm subscription "
any idea what that is? Is it just 1 disc a month?

John Lewis have the better version (BD-X2100) for £99.99 with 2YRS guarantee! Some left in stock on line aswell!!!
#29
Looks great but if it's no longer advertsied in Argos website how do you get the Lovefilm subscription? Is there a form/voucher in the box?

Also what level of subscription is it? How many DVDs/Blurays are you allowed per month?

Cheers
#30
The Argos page doesn't mention Love Film (Like it did last week)... can any one shed any light on this?

Free 12 month Lovefilm subscription with Toshiba BDX2000 Blu-ray player (533/8234). This offer is included in box.

4 discs a month, 2 discs at a time, RRP £7.99 a month package. It's very simple.
#32
You can also upgrade to a better package if you want by just paying the difference for the 12 month package upfront. Spent ages on email to find this out as I wanted the online streaming sub straight to my Sony TV.

Yes, I recall seeing this on the page last week however it is not showing for me now. Can you go to the page, refresh it and if it's showing, take a screen shot to show me where it is? I just want to make sure if I buy this, I get the offer.

Great, thanks!

The BDX2100 has a USB point and plays movies off it, whereas the BDX2000 has a sd-card slot which you cant play movies off.

Just completed registration and sending forms off now, can i upgrade to a package that gives me more dvd’s per month? If so whats on offer and how much?

Cheers

Good morning

Thank you for your e-mail.

You would not be able to upgrade your subscription from the promotion, however if you would like to contact Love film to discuss having an extra subscription they may be able to advise.

Kind regards

Toshiba Team

Thanks but I would choose the BDX2100 instead as it plays MKVs via the USB slot

That's very helpful. How exactly do you sign up? Some sort of form or code in the box? Can you do it all online?
