Awesome deal for £99.99 & a FULL year of lovefilm!
Play want £199.99 for this player... http://linkee.com/2MyaER
PS
From the reviews on argos's website, seems you DO get an hdmi cable included in the box, unlike what it says in the item info.

I had this Lovefilm 12 month offer with a Toshiba DVD player just over a year ago. I'm not really one for sitting for 2 hours watching a film and didn't really use it for the last 4-5 months. When I rang to cancel I was happy to find Lovefilm were very easy to deal with - they didn't spend ages trying to convince me to stay and no money was taken. Made a refreshing change.

That's really not bad!

I was expecting it to be one disc a month!

So the 'free trial' involves you handing over your credit card details, you having to cancel & hoping they do cancel. You've no control over credit card payments once you've handed your details over. It'll probably be fine, but I've heard of people have problems with similar offers.

is this trial subscription available only for new customers or existing customer can also benefit from it?

Voted hot...I think that's an awsome deal along as you don't get charged after 12 months!.

Lovefilm are an excellent company to deal with. Everything sorted very quickly and professionally.

This is a great offer.

So you expect them to send you 4 films a month without you having to give them any sort of security!

Sounds like your glass is always half empty....

Considering the 4 dvd package is 7.99 per month your practically getting a free blu ray dvd player even though it's a pretty poor player by todays standards.

Same as every other trial offer.... Use a pre-paid cardand only put credit on it when you want to use then if you forget it'll just get declined

What samsung player was that ?

I had a similar deal with an upscaling Toshiba DVD a year or so back and it all worked just fine.

Paid £60 for the player , got 96 quid's worth of subscription and sold the player on ebay for £70.

Lovefilm provided a decent service and it was no trouble to cancel at the end of it.
#25
I also did this deal on a DVD a year ago. Love Film were very good and easy to cancel.

If you were going to take out a subscription normally it is cheaper to do it through Tesco DVD rental which is still Love Film just lower prices.

ANyone know if this will cover BluRays or just DVD's?
I've had a look on their website but it isnt clear.
#26
Great price including the lovefilm offer!
#27
Lovefilm are notorious for not repeatting trials. Does anyone know if Lovefilm will honour the offer even though I was once a subscriber? Or does it exclude people like me?
#28
Great deal this.

I got the same deal on the Toshiba DVD player a year ago (which was then returned as it sucked) and have made good use of the trial.
Probably wont let me have another years trial free though......
#29
I couldn't see anywhere that it was the 4 discs a month sub.

"Lovefilm are notorious for not repeatting trials"

You're kidding, right? I went 2 years without paying them, everyone in my office does the same thing. When you cancel, they ask why, we even say it's so we can start a new trial and they just say "fair enough".
#31
You can rent blu-ray as well as DVD.
Also, if you log on after 10 p.m. you can cancel your account online without having to call them. Once all of your discs are returned you get a notification that it has been cancelled and they shouldn't charge you, although you can check this also as they have a 'next payment date' section in 'my account' if this has an old date then you will be fine.

I think they are refering to this:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/660370/samsung-bd-c5300-blu-ray-player-6-f
Though calling a new on the market player with the latest features 'Rubbish'
seems a bit biased - i'd wait until a few reviews had come out about it myself.
#33
Awesome deal, and 4 discs pre month!!

HOT HOT HOT - I'd get it if I needed one

Its almost worth getting for the Lovefilm then flogging the Blu-Ray player

Yeah I managed to keep going for about a year I think, but then they won't let me start any new trials. Are they still letting you do trials? (pm me if you have any tips!)

As a long-time customer who believes in actually paying for a good service, this disgusts me. Sure I got my 3 months' free trial at the start but after that I was happy to pay for an excellent service (especially with the price of Blu-Rays).

People like you are the reason us decent, honest consumers end up paying more. Services like this simply wouldn't exist if everyone was like you.

Not sure why you are being so precious about this - the original poster said they told Lovefilm they were cancelling so they could start a new trial and were told 'fair enough'. Surely if anyone should disgust you it's Lovefilm themselves who for whatever reason appear quite happy to allow this to go on !

Ps - Cracking deal, thanks to the OP

Long time reader, first time poster!

So is the DVD player any good?

Does it do what this one does? http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168916

You must have Charisma +10. I lack such.

Great deal if you don't have a blu ray player or PS3

I actually didn't get the bit about them telling LF it was to take up a new trial and LF being OK with it...
