This is probably the best price for this tablet but doesnt Windows 8.1 RT use over 12Gb of space? That leaves 4Gb for apps etc!

Think this runs 8.1 rather than RT, for what it's worth

This isn't Windows RT (this is an Intel Atom tablet -- they do not run Windows RT).
The old way of installing Windows consumed around 12GB's. Microsoft's new Wimboot installation process has reduced that to around 4-5GB's.

All of that aside, this isn't much of a deal. Linx 7 with 32GB's of storage often runs at £59 on Ebay (LaptopOutlet). Alternatively, the Linx 8 (far better machine than the Linx 7 and this Toshiba) can be had for £69 from Very using a new credit account discount code.

So yes, this is a cold deal :)

*Also....this doesn't seem to have HDMI -- which makes it very poor value indeed. The Linx 7 & 8 have HDMI, which when combined with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard means you have a surprisingly capable desktop setup (I use a similarly spec'd Asus T100 in the same way....it works superbly)

Wally.
Bluetooth mouse, Bluetooth keyboard, hide the tablet behind the screen...
Far from a mess!

Good price but be wise and go for the version with 2GB RAM and 32GB HD otherwise you will live to regret going with el cheapo version.

A few places doing refurbished ones at decent prices. For example......

The linx do hdmi out. For second screen it will certainly do 1920x1200 /1080. The only time you'll havenissuesnwith resmismif screen mirroring.

I've got this and the Linx 7.
Screen quality Toshiba, 0 out of 10.
Linx, 7 out of 10.
Honestly it is appalling.

I use an Asus T100, which is pretty much the same hardware wise as the Linx 8. When I extend the desktop, I have the full choice of screen resolutions (I use mine with a 24" 1080P monitor).
I'm guessing that you are using the mirror screen option - in which case, the resolution is limited to that of the tablet display (1366x768).
