Same price at play.com but with free delivery and Quidco.

How can you have possibly missed these 2 deals that have already been posted, bettered and debated massively?

Makes me wonder with the reductions on this, what will the offers be on the player price once the free 5 HD-DVD titles promo expires at the end of February, sub £100 me thinks.....

cheaper at play.com and amazon.

HD is almost officially dead. Even Woolworths have stopped stocking them, Blu Ray is supposed to be the one to go for now.

Yes, but they were being outsold by 10-1 by another HD format

not in the immediate future but probably after a couple of years when the remaining film studios go Blu Ray

Despite having a PS3 I thought at £119 + 7 HD DVD films this was well worth going for. Ok, so eventually HD DVD will be a dead duck but by then I will have got my money's worth out of this player. In any event its still good for SD DVD's.

i bought ps3 really for blu ray, dont see point of shelling out for HD dvd wen its defunked tbh. imo it wont last a few yrs more, imo it be dead within a yr with less and less stores selling HD dvd

What I think most of the cold voters have missed is that this is available instore for £119.99 - the same price as Amazon or Play.com (so why vote cold?) but you have the advantage of returning it to a shop if there are any problems........

Voting hot.......

PS - please don't turn this thread into another "HD DVD is dead argument" - start a thread on the Misc forum if thats what you want to discuss.....
