T3000 has 1mb,800fsb and Penryn core(with VT and EIST locked) so it's not going to be slower than Pentium Dual Core which is a very good cpu.Certainly, it will be quick enough to most tasks the laptop can be used for.

Agree - I wish people would get over the Celeron branding - there is such a small difference from Pentium dual core processors!

I also have to agree. Voting cold because it's a Celeron is just stupid. The T3000 is just a bit less powerful than the recent Pentium Dual Cores and is a bit better than the Athlon Q6x series. I doubt anyone would notice much difference.

For a 17 inch laptop this is a very good price.

It's a historic thing though - people don't forget easily -I know the situation now, but I still don't think "Celeron, must get one," and probably never will :-(
They would have done themselves a service by renaming the range!
