But not the best of processors, unless you'll spend a lot of time on the battery.

Goodness me, d'you have to be so aggressive? Sorry I spoke! I'll just mind my own business in future.

However, a little tip for you. Instead of being so full of yourself, try reading my original post again, assuming you can understand plain, simple English. I simply made a comment, once again, my apologies.

The CPU is a heavy letdown & the OP is a little angry at others opinions, so cold from me.
#10
Not angry at all,it just seems most laptop posts get negative remakes, yes we all know this not the top end laptop ,only posted as for the price and to help people on a budget,am sure this would be alright for lots of people who dont need a top end model

Bought this today and very impressed with speed, screen and build quality. No excessive bloatware either. Boots in 20 seconds.

Thanks op

Cheers just heading back from
Argos with this now as my aunt wanted a new laptop, thought it was a reasonable spec for the price.
#14
Now £349.99
#15
well done for the people who got it at the cheaper price
#16
I managed to get two (Xmas presents) at the deal price before price changed. Just to say thanks OP.

It's 350 now.

"seems a good price for a i3 and a 1tb hard drive"

What does that mean in real terms? Well in terms of the CPU most will see i3 and have a preconceived notion of its performance, or just think i3 well that's good right? In reality it doesn't mean much at all as you don't have a point of reference. i3 is a branding and it's doing its job.

i3 what does it mean to you and have you questioned that belief?

This laptop is on Argos eBay as a 'refurb' for £239.99. I say refurb... the one I bought was basically brand new... still in the original Toshiba box etc, no refurbished stickers on the laptop. IMO they are just ones with damaged boxes that the can't sell 'as new'... at the very worst just customer returns.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toshiba-L50-B-1NL-15-6-Inch-Ci3-Processor-4GB-1TB-Laptop/151458961132

There's also this model with the older i3 but with a faster clock speed. Take in mind the laptop is 1cm thicker, slightly heavier as (around 100g I think) and has a worse battery life (2.5 hours less)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toshiba-C50-15-6-Inch-1TB-4GB-Laptop-/151503385119?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH

But I would say the likelihood of the above being properly refurbished are a lot higher.

Bought 2 ..thanks OP..ignore the computer geeks who insist it is necessary to spend £500 on a laptop (that will be out of date within 2 years in any case)..These people are type who recommend you spend £1500 on a pedal bike because it is 000.3 percent lighter than previous model..or insist you have to drive a prestige brand car even though in reality they aint got a bean..etc etc etc
