can anybody find out whether this is GDDR2 or GDDR3 graphics ram? And how does this compare to a 1gb 9600gt GDDR2?

It's not bad, if I were to be fussy I'd say I want blu-ray at this price.

I wouldn`t pay £599 for a laptop these days.

I'd use http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html to check, if you're comparing to a mobile version of the 9600GT, then the 9600GT comes out on top I believe.

yes but that still depends wherther it uses gddr2 or gddr3 and i cant find which ram it uses. the acer 6930g uses 1gb ddr2 http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/519340/ACER-AS6930G-744G32/tab/specification so im wandering if this laptop had gddr3 ram would it be faster?

I just bought this Samsung R522 which I think is a better laptop. The led screen is really excellent. Very crisp pics. I checked out a movie and it was great. Even the sound is quite good. I have yet to hook it up to my hd tele. Will do once I find my damn cable!

I think this laptop is supposed to have a usb port which can be used to power mp3 players etc even with the laptop shut down.

Price was a lot cheaper for me due to the large amount of nectar points I had.

Wasnt really aimed for gaming. The card is more than good enough for the needs required. I have a desktop pc with a nvidia pci express and lots of ram for gaming.
