Please note his laptop has a single core celeron 2.2ghz.
£50 Toshiba cashback http://www.toshibacashback.com/October/productslist.asp?Home=default
this deal is being voted cold because?
#2
Free should mean free and not £27 for a Windows 7 upgrade!

lol let me take that off the spec list. Done! Now would somebody explain why this is cold?

Good price and much better than my posted deal. Shame Toshiba charge so much for the Windows 7 upgrade.
The model here is Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-2CH

And this is it listed to prove you can get £50 cashback. Good value if you're in the market for a cheap laptop.

It is strange why people are voting cold for this. Must just be the Windows 7 price that is putting people off.

i think its because i put celeron in the title but the ram is 2gb which i think is good for a sub £300 machine.
example £279.98 at Ebuyer Dell Vostro A860 Laptop, Celeron 560 2.13GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 15.6in TFT, WLAN 802.11b/g, 4 Cell, Vista Home Basic
The dell has a slower celeron, less ram, 4 cell battery and vista basic.

It wouldn't be for me, but far worse stuff than this gets red hot voting every day of the week - No accounting for it on this site!:?

(Mind you, Laptopsdirect hasn't proved a popular retailer, although I think their terms of sale have improved from the past.)

Surely this should be hot. This place is really weird sometimes. Heat from me.

I bought a refurbished Asus 1000he netbook for a good discounted price from laptopsdirect.com and it arrived promptly. But the laptop did not work. Had to ring Asus manufacturers who stateed the hard drive was dead. So I had to get a reference number and fill out a form on the laptopsdirect.com website for a promised 24 hour return authorisation. Suffice to say I have been waiting way beyond promised time for return authorisation. They keep making promises. My initial impression is that you should avoid this company at all costs. I have now read reviews on the internet and regret buying from them. Check out the review sites below:

Maybe, but posting to resurrect long dead threads isn't going to win you friends or influence people!
