This netbook has great battery life at 9hours but - most importantly - it has a really great keyboard - perfect for touch typing. Only the Samsungs (and one or two others) come close on battery life, but their keyboards are not comfortable for touch typing (too small, keys badly placed). My sister in law used her Toshiba for 12 years (I'm not kidding), so these things are very well made.

This is the one I want! Go try the keyboard! I'm watching the price on these and Comet have reduced it by £10 today!

Bad reviews. Even the successor to this isn't particularly hyped up much either. Pass.

"My sister in law used her Toshiba for 12 years"

Isn 't it funny how something can mean different things to different people?

OK, I accept that Toshiba laptops & Netbooks do have a pretty good reputation, maybe as good as they come, and I am not trying to put anyone off buying, but it doesn't say to me what you are wanting it to say, and this sort of thing is an often used saying on here -

What that says to me is 12 years ago Toshiba laptops used to last! It says less than nothing about now - look at brands like Grundig: years ago they were top notch, now = dross; they are not alone either :-(
