"Basket Total (inc VAT): £224.96" after using VAULT6045 code.
I do not see the £50 DISCOUNT/CASHBACK?

You have to wait 30 days after purcahse to register for cashback and less then 60 days.

Seems a good deal, if you keep an eye on the cashbacl dates.

Anyone know what the 'double memory offer' is about - free upgrade to 2GB?

Yes you should call and find out how much the 2GB upgrade costs .. you can add one for about £10-15 normally so call if you want the offer but would think it will be an extra £30-40 at a guess.

It's now December, there is nothing listed at that URL for the month of December so how can you be certain that you would be elegible for £50 cash back?

According to this...

http://www.toshibacashback.com/December/productslist.asp?Home=default

It is not valid in December.

Edit. After further trawling through the Toshiba site, there appears to be some confusion / contradictions on the Toshiba site - it might be best to ring Toshiba and confirm before relying on getting the £50 back.

Edit: They have just changed the text on that link - it does indeed now include this product so voted hot from me.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone :)

Hmm, there does seem to be some confusion between the sites. If you click on the £50 cashback banner, Laptopsdirect clearly state it's for laptops bought between 1st Dec and 31st Dec, but the Toshiba site doesn't have the link yet... hopefully it's early days and the link will be up before the deal expires! Fingers crossed!
#11
Are laptopsdirect a reputable firm? I see ebuyer are doing the netbook for £252 (so £202 after cashback) would they be more trustworthy?
#12
I will not trust laptopdirect.
#13
They have a good reputation for price and a bad reputation for customer service.
#14
If you look at the Toshiba cashback site link: http://www.toshibacashback.com/December/productslist.asp?Home=default

It does state the model of this laptop: Toshiba NB200-11L

therefore it must qualify for the cashback?

if so the total price comes to around £174 which is hot!

cany anyone confirm this please?
#15
I've used laptops direct before and never had an issue.

Would have no problem using them again
#16
£246.10 at Dabs plus free delivery, brings it to £196.10 after cashback, plus a well known company.

It appears that Toshiba have updated their website and the model IS included.

Just to add.

Went to Comet to have a play with one.

The keyboard is rough as a badger's bottom. Hence no deal do me.

Just received mine today (via eBuyer), its not a bad piece of kit but not exactly what I was expecting.

The NB200-11L is kind of the 'lite' version of the range, main differences between this and the other models in the range are;
it has a regular style keyboard - not a more modern chiclet/island keyboard that most photos show,
it has a more simple smooth black gloss lid - not the textured coloured ones on the upgraded models,
the screen doesn't have the full size glass front - rather a more simple plastic mount and an inset glossy lcd,
the case is a simple black plastic finish - as opposed to the matt silver of the higher models.

On the upside, it does have a hell of a battery life, the trackpad is huge for a netbook, and the network card turned out to be wireless-N.

Pretty good going when that all comes in at under £200 when the cashback is factored in, but that is why this model is £50 (or so) less than the other NB200-11* models.

They have a good reputation for price and a bad reputation for customer service.

That about covers it. Their after-sales is appalling. If the order goes well then you'll get a good deal. If not, you could either end up heavily out of pocket or having to spend weeks and sometimes even months chasing them. As great a price as this is, from past experience I'm not prepared to take the risk.
#21
Hi where do you input the VAULT CODE please? I've gotten to payment options screen? Thanks :)
#22
Would you trust a company that advertises a netbook with a 10 ' (that is 10 foot!) display? I have learned that details are telling, and I for one would proceed with extreme prejudice.

Just been on the website and this is NOT expired

The code has expired, so now you pay an uncompetitive 260 pounds.
