Works fine for me.

a quick review on caio showed many unhappy customers.

Any take on that?
#4
they make the cash back sound like its going to be a voucher, not hot for me then, dirty trick

oceanic If you check the terms and condition on claim form its says £50 will be paid by cheque it asks who to make cheque payable to.Expansys are a big multinational company so cheque will be honoured.Ive already gone for deal at £10 higher all going smoothly, just waiting for cashback cheque.:-)

I bought this phone two weeks ago from expansys when it was £10 dearer. I actuall bought two and sold one to cex. The cashback will be be paid by a cheque and not voucher. they have already sent me the confirmation email for the payment. This phone is great for the price but it has two major problems (I already knew about them before buying):
1- the battery life is scandlous...It lasts for about six hours from full charge and thats without making any calls. I got myself three chargers (home, car and office) to make sure it is always charged.
2- the speakers volume is very low. you will end missing many calls because you cant hear the phone ringing and also you have to keep the phone very close to your ear to be able to hear the other party.
If you can put up with these two design flaws the phone is great

Battery life is the biggest problem with any smartphone, next is the Windows software!

great deal for smartphone even though not best of of phones see in spec it has gps would this run tom tom ok ?.Also how does it compare to cheap netbook using wifi is it slow? does it load normal web pages ok
#9
bought one to sell to cex
#10
Good resolution screen, 800 x 480 is verging on netbook territory.
#11
What happens if CEX gets wind of this and decides to drop the price???
#12
Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, glad I didn't pay more. Hardware quality is good (keyboard and screen) software side of things is pretty poor. I am used to WM, I've owned lots before, the Toshiba is buggy and freezes often. Useability is improved by adding a launcher like SPB mobile shell, but it is still slow. The fingerprint security works once you work out how to set it up. But as mentioned before the volume is appalling low, I've missed many calls even with a specially loud MP3 ringtone. Oh and I'm still waiting for my cashback.

this happended to me a few times before...best thing to do is hope price stays same!

they take long to test and sometimes you have to wait untill they offer you cash

6 hrs battery life.....what is the point?

Its like having a laptop, by the time it loads up windows the battery is dead.
#15
Seen CEX rapidly change prices on phones when deals come along and don't think you'll retire on this deal - sorry, but voted cold for that reason.

So, let me get this straight, the two main benefits of a mobile phone is that its mobile and its a phone, but those two 'design flaws' suggest it would fail in either role? :?

Thanks for the pointers, I was half tempted at the price but not with those two problems. I'm still of the opinion that a phone needs to be a phone first, and the gadgets come later.

This phone sucks technically, and there is absolutely zero support from Toshiba (or anyone else for that matter). Everyone is trying to limit their losses, and some nice loss they made with that thing. Do NOT buy this junk. Any old HTC Prophet is better than the G910. The only really good thing this phone brings to the table is the screen. That's it. The battery life is so abysmal, it makes the item altogether useless. Why have a MOBILE phone that needs to be hooked up permanently? Might as well get a netbook.
#18
Even after all the negative comments, I'm still tempted. It's sitting in my basket right now.

Haha, I so know the feeling. Be strong, don't give in. Seriously. Get yourself an HTC Touch Diamond for 150 quids off eBay. If you wait and watch, you will even find someone selling a brand new one for that price.

You're right. Although this would probably suit me better than it would most people, as I'm looking mostly for a wi-fi device for browsing e-mails and the internet, which can also receive calls as its secondary use

Ordered 4 for 3 people plus me, had a late delivery so they refunded me delivery cost for each of the 4 orders. All got £159 from cex. Hope they are quick cashback payers!

Thanks OP h+r added :-)
