  You can get a compatible PSU on eBay for 8.00 and these tablets are reported to be able to run Windows 8 (although you need to manually load the RAID drivers from the Toshiba support website during the install process).

  Yeah, I found that its not a 'finger' touchscreen, it doesn't work like that. You can only use a specific £30 pen on it.
  Title is a little misleading, hence, COLD from me.

  The base spec on this model is an XGA screen, so I wouldn't bet on it.

  All the M400s come with SXVGA+ displays according to Toshiba. Would need to have the stylus though to make it a bargain.

  Similar spec to my Lenovo x61 upgraded with 4gb ram and an ocz vertex ssd, cold boots windows 8 in 9 seconds. A new battery and you've got an entirely respectable touchscreen ultraportable for less than £200

  The one I got from SCHtrade (grade c, no hdd or charger) had a 1400x1050 and also a 3g sim card slot, with t-mobile sim still in it. core duo 2ghz, speedy machine. It's a totally different proposition to an ipad or android tablet. Best viewed as a laptop with the ability to be used as a tablet when needed.If you only want a tablet you're better with a cheap android.

  Just taken delivery. 1400x1050 display (amazing for a device this size in pre-retina days).
  
  Was able to install Windows 8 RC from a USB drive.
  
  My unit also has 3G SIM slot (with an Orange SIM card still present!) and a fingerprint reader!
  
  Both stylus were present as well! (highly unusual for a device like this and expensive to replace - a nice bonus!).
  
  Win8 working comfortably with supplied 512 RAM - planning on upgrading to 4GB (2x2gB) over the weekend.
