Indeed, but Amazon prices go up and down like a Yo-Yo...this has been 3 different prices at Amazon in the last 7 days. £298.99 then £299.99 now £289.99.

It has been this price for over a week at Lasky's and you will know which day it is being delivered. ( choice available).

Not exactly a yo-yo, going up by £1. It's just like most other technological products, it gets cheaper as it gets older.

+1 :?
#10
I reckon someone might have clicked expired accidentally (or on purpose :x). No idea how to unexpire it though, nvm
#11
Indeed, if we keep posting on here someone may get it unexpired.

The offer is still valid.
#12
Arrived today and look, if I ordered again today I would still get it for the same price!

Expired? Methinks not!

Heeellllllloooooooooooooooooooo? Can the "expirer" hear?

Anyway, thanks again to the OP, my mum will be very pleased.

A great deal, mine is due to arrive on Tuesday. A question for those that have one already. When you manually set brightness/contrast,etc, does it remember seperate settings for each input or is it just one that applies to them all. My current cheap 19" Acoustic Solutions set has one for all the inputs and it means I have to constantly adjust it depending on what is being used.
#14
Thanks for the heads up Nammo :)

Unexpired ..

I'm very confused by the model number of these tvs ... there are hundreds of them, my wife recently bought a 32AV633DB from John Lewis, this particular model number is not even listed on the Toshiba site (not on the product registration page anyway) - I was going to check out a few other prices, given that JL are 'never knowingly undersold' - I know they won't compete with online shops but I was just going to check out the prices but it 'aint easy with the hundreds of serial numbers - there's a 32AV635DB on Laskys or £349.99 for instance - confused ! Best Roger

Have just ordered, many thanks!
Was looking for a 22 inch but Tesco put the price of the one I wanted up to almost the same price, so may as well get this one just for a bit more.
#17
Have just ordered to replace the Sony CRT 36" BEAST in the bedroom. I can reclaim around 6 square feet of bedroom space again - heat added.
#18
FYI....this model just had an excellent review in this months WHAT TV AND VIDEO MAGAZINE. One of the best budget 32 inch LCD's around.........

Shops sometimes have deals in place with manufactures to give them exclusive model numbers. They are usually the same TV as in other shops just different model numbers. This prevents people price matching with other shops. Curry's/Dixon/Comet are always doing this.

Got the Toshiba with the Resolution+ model and its great.

I dont think it will as I have the 37" version and it does not.
#23
Thanks ncd, they'll try anything wont they ! Roger

Toshibas are nice TVs, was going to buy the 32RV635DB model (higher spec like FullHD, AVII, Res+, 4xHDMI) for the bedroom from amazon, but they put the price up to £420 on the day I was going to order, so ended up buying that model from Dixons for £399.
#25
Excellent price, ordered one for the parents, hopefully should sort them out for a good few years.
#26
Anyone know what panel this uses? I have the older 32AV504B model (S-IPS panel) which is great for gaming because of low input lag but I don't play much of those any more..

Edit: Never mind going to spend a bit more and get the Samsung instead

That sucks, it means I'm going to have to change the brightness/contrast settings everytime I go from TV to console. What a stupid thing to leave out. Other brands have it in their budget TV's.

Edit: What devices do you have hooked up to it? Do you find yourself having to change the settings between the different inputs. My main concern is the 360. On my current TV the setting that looks good for sky tv is too dark for the 360 which needs the brightness increasing by about 10.

Is it worth spending the extra money (£55) on Toshiba Regza 32AV635DB 32-inch Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV with Freeview and Resolution+
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-32AV635DB-Widescreen-Freeview-Resolution/dp/B0020HR6OY/

Is Resolution+ any good?
(Toshiba’s unique Resolution+ upscaling technology takes everyday standard definition content and instantly improves edge detail and texture, enhancing it to virtually high definition picture quality.)

Anyone know how much heat these things produce. I have a 26" Tosh in the bedroom from about 3 years ago and it heats the room up after a few hours and in this weather it's not good.

#35

Shame it was for my lads bedroom!
#36

#37

Anyone know a nice cheap stand for this? Toying between this and the deal on the older version from Play which includes a stand...
#39
Is it just me, but when I view these LCD tv's in the shop the picture always looks a bit crinkly with ditortion around peoples faces and things in close up, could it be the signal used by the shops or is it just that is what LCD's are like? I am looking to buy my first Flat panel LCD tv but my old widescreen bush always looks a crisper picture than these new ones in the shop?! It is a dilemma for me!

I've always thought the same when viewing LCD's in the shops. I just replaced my old CRT with one of these and the picture from freeview and sky is as good as my old crt set.
The audio is OK but needs a surround system if your used to having it on your old set.
