this tv is posted every bloody week now! £10 up, then £10 down back and forward....not a great deal either considering it has been about £20 cheaper in the last couple of months

fantastic telly.
#7
better to go for this or one of the 1080p 32" ones?

Cheaper at Richer Sounds and the 5 year gurantee is better IMO.

Saw this TV in Currys last week, looked very good.

I paid £349 for the 1080p version of this telly a couple of months ago, and would say that it's really good.

I'm sure this standard hd resolution version will be good too though.

I got this for this price two weeks ago; hardly a new bargain!

But I must say its excellent value for money. I'm quite a tech geek (although not extreme) and have tested this with a PS3 plugged in through HDMI, and the picture is awesome.

The sound is something to be desired though, but for those with external speakers its alright.

argghhh i read loads of great reviews and then you say this and confuse me again!! :)

299 is a nicer price and means i could affoard some speakers. still undecided. havent seen a bad review on this TV yet, but the 1080p Panasonic posted the other day is also very tempting.

Just a warning, my 1080p Regza broke after 6 weeks and I'm still waiting for them to get off their ***** and do something about it.

Their customer service really is appalling.

You will not see a difference on standard definition sources because the upscaling chip has an easier job "stretching" to 720 rather than 1080 lines. There will be a difference with HD sources.

Bigger issue for me is the lack of Toshibas remarkable Resolution + chip in this set, it makes a real impact on Standard definition picture quality and comes on the next model up, 32av635.

I contacted Toshiba direct when the 720 version was dead after a month and they replaced and upgraded me to 1080p without any hassle as Pixmania had let me down really badly.

A word of warning from me too. Bought a Toshiba REGZA mentioned on this site previously. We are just out of guarantee although have had a problem with remote not responding at all for a couple of months, (it has always been slow to respond from when we received it) We thought it was the cheap batteries we were using. Turns out it wasn't. Remote Sensor Unit built in TV kaput according to TV engineer. On doing some research very common problem for people buying Toshiba REGZA's. We are going through ebuyer where we bought it from as TV not fit for purpose, if faulty parts, have read on numerous forums Toshiba Customer Service unhelpful with many, that is our next option however! Good Luck. Wish someone had warned me about this 13 months ago.
