£539 + £4 P&P on my Pixmania - not sure where you have seen the lower price. Was that definitely 37 inch?

Came close to buying the Argos deal (£399) and now it's on Amazon why am I still hesitating? It's a brilliant tv but I'm hoping I'll find a 40"/42" for about £450 on sale at christmas :)

A decent set for the price and hot for me. Bought one from argos 2 weeks ago. The only issue is the "HDCP handshaking" when you switch channels from a SD to HD or vice versa.

are amazon any good with big ticket items like this if you have a problem,,,how do you get a repair under warranty, do they have a service department or do you have to contact the manufacturer of the product that you purchased???

my current experience with Amazon is that if you report a fault, they will send out a replacement BEFORE they have received the faulty item back and allow you 30 days to return the faulty goods. I have never shopped from a more customer friendly (online) retailer

easy - XV has 1080p, 100Hz and some Dolby sound thing, and AV does not. XV is therefore a lot more expensive. RV sits in the middle

Same here, though this looks a nice deal. I'll probably hold out, though.

So the 42xv635db would be a good one to go for?

I don't know how they are when you have a problem that would require warranty repair, but I once received a defective dvd recorder. It was obvious as soon as I hooked it up and tested it out. Amazon sent someone out that day to pick it up and gave me a refund; I was pleased with the service.

There is no other online retailer like Amazon, my experience with them states. Buy with confidence.

I think I will too - must be some cracking deals about at Christmas I'm hoping. Good deal this is though as I said before and still hot in my view.

Well done dr met :-D The price on the 42" is still outside my range on Amazon but I will keep an eye on it as Amazon have a funny habit of changing prices nilly willy.

Amazon are very good with TVs. If you get an issue, they send you a new one or money back if they can't. You just then return your old set.
