If England win the World Cup, you get your money back from Toshiba, don't forget to register first.

Its a great TV. The Freeview picture ( and other standard definition souces) is much better than on other sets in this price range. The "resolution+" feature really does work wonders.

HDMI does 1:1 pixel mapping too - so great for connecting your PC at 1920x1080 resolution.
It even will display at my regular monitors 1440x900 resolution ( and i didn't expect it to accept that resolution)

While we're still 2 years from Analogue getting switched off and Freeview getting nationwide upgrade to FreeviewHD and more channels etc, I would hope for older chipset HDTV's like this (not FreeviewHD capable) to keep falling in price.

price same as some other places, nothing special, but certainly a good buy.

though would the asda LG lh3000 be a btter shout maybe?

The Tosh is significantly better than the LG ( i have the Tosh and my partner has an LG32LH2000)

The Toshiba displays far more detail on SD sources . On the LG the picture is much less detailed and skin tones especially look fake and blurred.
Both are great on HD , but for the next few years standard definition is going to make up the majority of most peoples viewing.

The only plus point for the LG is that you can eneable the USB port - to make it into a media player ( that even plays HD mkv files).

P.S If you want one cheaper then look out for the warehouse deals on amazon ( under where it says " used and new from £... " ) I got my Tosh for £335 and it was just like new. These are refused deliveries etc that amazon cannot sell as new.

How do you enable the usb port on the LG to watch movies, only able to see photos and listen to music at the moment?

Read the warnings and check everything BEFORE you do anything. Worth making a note of all the versions and model numbers while you work on this.
