100hz is well worth having imho on a HD TV especially for sports / fast moving action scenes etc.

Maybe so but 37 inch is a niche size. 37, by average, the size most people should be buying for their lounge however people tend to be over extravagant when it comes to these teles.

just a note bout the 100hz, only worth it if your planning on watching a lot of sports football tennis etc, if you just want a tv for gaming for instance there would be absolutely no point in it

btw just a note for people, isnt there a link for the 37" samsung 550 series £450 at marks and spencer with 5yr guarentee, that would be better than this id of thought

Is that true? I've holding off deals for 50hz as I know some x box games won't play on my current tv because it doesnt support 60hz. I thought that would be the same with LCD's?

Thanks

No it's not true. 100hz CAN make a difference watching regular TV and fast moving sequences, including action movies. It's not such a big deal for gaming but 100hz is becoming standard so I'd definitely take it over the inferior 50hz.

Also the above comment about size of model is nonsense. There's no such thing as a size "most people should buy". It comes down to your proximity to the screen, viewing angle and how much space you've got!

I have the model down from this, the 37RV, which is a very good set. I don't understand why this hasn't been voted hotter by now??? My tele was 30 quid less for a lesser model a couple of months back. I'm very happy with it, but must say if I were looking for a 37 inch 1080p now for under £450 I would get this 37XV without a doubt.
