I just got a 40" 1080p Regza recently and I love it.

This is normally £700, so good deal here.

This TV got reviewed at CNET (literally yesterday) and was given 8.5/10

If you want a solid, high-quality TV that will do justice to pretty much any kind of video you care to throw at it, this is quite possibly the TV for you. It's cheap enough to appeal to the budget-conscious and those who don't think a TV should cost as much as a week in the south of France. We like this TV, and we think you will too.

Loving my 37" Toshiba 1080p Regza too. An excellent picture and great 'exact scan' mode for gaming.

seems like a good deal

The only thing that I've noticed is that it seems (to me) to lack some of the features which my much older model of Samsung had like PIP and the ability to rename the channels/ext sockets to something more memorable.

It might just be me though admittedly since I've had it for over 2 weeks now and I still haven't read so much as a page of the instruction manual. :whistling:

I've got the 32RV635 version and you can name the inputs on that, I don't like that fact that you don't know what the video resolution output is - like the samsung did.

great picture and colour
#9
might have to go for this one

Good price.

Anyone been into there store?
Are prices in store cheaper as your not paying delivery?

Yes, add that to my list, that ****** me right off.

It probably sounds like I'm being a bit negative, I'm not though, these are great sets and look fantastic (especially on games and High Def content) but they just seem to be aimed at a much more budget and less enthusiastic market than the Samsung's.
#13
Would anyone be able to comment on how this set compares with Samsung LE40A656 from Novatech at £516 posted a few days back? Reviews seem very mixed - some good some quite poor - Which doesn't really rate it.
#14
Anybody know if this is 50 or 100Hz?

I don't think you would want to go their store. It's like a crappy pound shop, it's cheaper to buy online since they compete with the big boys. They have a massive unit where they dispatch the goods from.

Its 60hz... (technically it will do something like 75hz with xvga - computer connection)

for the 100hz, you want the:

42XV635DB

Which is £669.99 from Play.com

Or if you want the 200hz version!!!: -

42ZV635DB

£807 from amazon.co.uk
#17
It will be 60Hz because that's what mine is and I have a similar model.
#18
Is it worth the extra £70 to get it in 100hz? or the extra £200 for 200hz?

cannot really tell much difference, unless you play something fast moving then you will notice
#20
Still fancy 100Hz - you should pop into a Sony shop - my local is running a 50 Vs 100 Vs 200Hz comparison at the back at the shop! Pretty impressive but you're right, very noticable on fast moving scrolling shots.

OOS now.
