I bought this tv a year and a half ago and had to send it back to Amazon twice with sound faults, when I did eventually get one that worked properly I sent that back too because the picture was pants hence the price. It's a shame because the case and stand are top notch and look great but the picture quality is diar, it's worth spending a little more and getting an LG!

Agree with jobarpm. Spend more ans get a Sammy. You won't regret it. Good price but you get what you pay for.

are the samsungs screens still going though? has put me off with all the earlier models all messing up?

Very very true, after sending the Toshiba back I paid £350 more for the Samsung UE40B6000 LED and have never looked back. There are cheaper TVs out there with a decent picture but I get so much pleasure from using this tv :) you do really get what you pay for! The toshiba may be cheap in the short term but you'll be wanting to change it within the year!

I've gone right off Toshiba, had 2 faulty ones in the past year, one with picture issues and the other kept making a buzzing sound. Wont be buying tosh again.

Ah, the old buzzing sound, had it on a Tosh 28" CRT I bought 10 years ago, got it replaced and still have it, hope to upgrade soon, but not to a Tosh!

Have you seen the bezel on that? It's huge! Does it come with Freeview HD?

Either way, great price for a branded TV of this size which is LED + 100Hz.

It is already sold out.

welcome to the awful world of Toshiba TVs, they look solidly built are very poorly made on the inside. expect faults. my advise to anyone is don't touch a Toshiba without a 5yr warranty.

the one you saw in comet might have been the 40SL753 which is 100hz led freeview HD

my tosh 37" lasted just over a year before the panel went down.
Never again.....

Just remember that the LED Edge Lit LCD's do not give any picture improvement over a regular LCD - they only give the option to the manufacturer of making the display thinner and of course marketing them as some new super LED product.;)

In which case this is cold,I would opt for Amazon every time, rather then repeat the frequent times I have been messed around by Play.com!

Personally with Pioneer not making TV's I would buy Philips; not cheap mind
