Not sure why there are cold votes... bought this for the parents last week and the cheapest I could find was £649 at Comet. Steal at this price.

Not spent too much time with the set but was impressed with what I saw.

Fair enough but as posted, I couldn't get this TV any cheaper anywhere on the net so I can't vote it cold.

why buy online when they are cheaper instore? next time before you buy check on hotukdeals. cheaper than the john lewis price but w/o warranty http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LE40B550A5-Widescreen-Crystal-Freeview/dp/tech-data/B001UE8LW4/ref=de_a_smtdhttp://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/product/171598 the samsung sets are cheaper with higher contrast ratio but a lower refresh rate of 50hz and 2" smaller screen

I didn't buy online... I bought in-store. I always checkl HUKD first thanks.

Merely saying that I searched everywhere and the retailers you mentioned were the cheapest and therefore IMO, hot deals... but with this voucher, this is the hottest price for this TV.

Don't like Samsung stuff so I avoided them. Cheers.

why whats wrong with samsung, did you have a broken sammy screen? my sammy is nearly 2 yrs old, still working fine. only non samsung deal left would be this panasonic http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/439500/panasonic-tx-p42s10b-plasma-1080p-5/ only good if u live near selfridges.

It's just personal preference. I've owned most makes of TVs and generally prefer Toshiba. I've had problems with Samsung and Panasonic screens over the years.

Thanks for the other offer but as I said, I bought the Tosh last week.
