Sorry I don't really keep up with all the marketing rubbish these companies try to scam people with. As this states 200Hz Picture Processing (refresh rate?), does that mean it is compatible with 3d tv, or is this a fictional specification quite like the dynamic contrast?

Manufacturers really hold back the technology to make you buy again. Tv's like this top end one nowadays should be coming with Freeview HD (due next month), or Freesat HD (which will have BBC I Player in HD this month ) built in. Why not, because they know there will be a big push for the world cup in HD so we will be buying another box to watch it in HD. What a con!

If I paid that much for a TV, I'd want a 10 year warranty...3 isn't enough.

To be fair, £1700 isn't really that much for such a large LCD TV.

I remember when my parents bought a 32inch Toshiba about 15 years ago - that was about £2000 at the time!
