Don't copy/paste the code from this post.

Type it in manually.

Makes this a RIDICULOUS price for second-hand gear :-(
It's not even 20% off!

I picked up the Tosh 37AV553 from Sainsbury's for £391 back in the spring and its an excellent set for the money. It is identical to the 555, except for a few aesthetic differences. It was posted up on here and generated a hell of a lotta heat if I recall (i've done a search but can't find the OP).

The picture quality is great on mine, however these TV's are well know for having speaker problems. I get a slight rattle on mine when the volume is turned up and I know of other folk who have experienced similar problems. Also, my TV has developed an iritating glow at the bottom left of the screen which is exposed badly on darker scenes (I may well have to use the 1 year guarantee to get that one sorted out!).

Still, for the price its difficult to challenge that these are not good TV's for the price (though for £390 I too would go for a brand new one from Play if I was in the market for one).

I think this is the universal problem now, and not jsut with TVs... last 2 (CRT) TVs (Sony and Hitachi) have both come into that category at an early stage. Sony in particular has astronomical repair costs - I can only imagine the costs involved with an LCD tv as my Acer laptop was uneconomical to repair when the screen went off

just pointing this out

not full HD
no HD tuner (i have a feeling that all the standard lcd will come down in price)
not 3D (don't worry about this, what ever you buy won't be suitable)

whoops! that's a poor show. what are these LCDs? cheap throw away consumer products? I think not. IMHO a TV should last 5 years.

My last LCD TV.... a 32" C series Regza had a fault with the inverter board after 11 months. The TV was replaced under warranty. Then the inverter board went again after 14 months, obviously out of warranty this time.
I wouldn't buy an LCD TV now without extended warranty.

TV's should work until I drop it.

I think people already know that hence the price.

At least 5 years. To put it into perspective, I have a old CRT which is over 20 years old and still runs like a dream.
