nice but unfortunately no HDMI connection

What are the advantages of HDMI?

I've seen this mentioned on a few laptop threads but don't understand why it's so important.

TYIA.

Some people like to connect their laptop with 50" hdmi tv to watch pictures n stuff but I personaly don't care as I have Ubuntu server and couple of Revos with XBMC.

Biggest benefit of hdmi is being able to output the sound over hdmi saves having loads of cables between tv and laptop :-)

Many thanks, not a big plus for me.

That laptop just looks and feels cheap. It's quite basic all ports are on the left side all close together VGA, Ethernet, 2 USBs headphone mic. I use one for work.

Know what you mean - I've traded cables for speakers...now have to work out where I can put some "low profile" speakers.

No its not; the Argos one you pointed to is an i3-380M. This one is an i3-370M. And its £20 cheaper.

BUT just seen this one @Saveonlaptops. It is an i3-380M for £330, code C660-1E2. Complicated or what!?!?
***** To summarise this is the best bang for buck ->http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Toshiba_Satellite_C660-1E2_1044806.html

***** However, the Argos one has a slightly bigger disk and 2-year warranty. Decisions, decisions...

only 2gb of ram, surely this is not enough with an i3.

Cheap to upgrade RAM tho. Not so cheap to upgrade motherboard and CPU.
