Only 1GB of RAM?

Not the best multi-tasker then.

you should have seen it before it was cropped, black boots, the lot! :D

Odd setup - Celeron, 1 GB RAM - 64 bit windows! Me thinks they've had some RAM nicked from them!

Hot deal none-the-less !
#9
Good price and a decent machine once the RAM is sorted.

Isn't 1GB ram is less than the recommended minimum for windows 7 64-bit? But it seems that's the way Toshiba build them! http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-Pro-C650-18D/1091288/toshibaShop/true/
Easy and cheap to upgrade but Toshiba have just gone down a few pegs in my opinion for building this.
#10
Can it do hd video?
#11
..come on..its a celeron processor, not so good resale value
#12
Excellent price, what do you guys want for £250! Windows 7, webcam etc...
#13
How easy is it to fit extra memory in these?

I've added to a desktop before, but have never owned a laptop so have no idea if it's the same sort of deal as it was with the desktop... I'm guessing there's a relatively easy panel to remove and then the ram just slots in?

Well not everyone on here buys to re-sell... have you ousted yourself as a person who browses this site for deals and then flogs them on ebay for a quick profit?
#15
Pretty good laptop features, good brand too at a netbook price.

Hot!
#16
a full on laptop at netbook prices is a good deal whatever but a couple of things confusng me..

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+900+%40+2.20GHz

low passmark for processor and 1 gb ram and yet it has Win7 prem 64bit ??!?!?!
#17
probably better off sticking on XP
nice price tho
#18
seems like a bargain for the price.
#19
For the price this offer is great.
Hot.
#20
Would bother even with extra ram this is going to run a dead dog with a Celeron chip
#21
This is a killer deal, if you can update RAM and replace CPU. Celeron 900 is unusable and would not be much use. CPUs are cheap on ebay, but require some technical knowledge to replace.

Doddle - ish!

One tiny phillips screw to open a panel on the base. A bit of wrestling with the panel because for some strange reason, it has tabs on the side making it more difficult to remove.

Clip in the additional RAM (there's two slots so no need to discard the original). Replace the panel & job done.

I had one of these with 1GB & it was all but unusable.

Keyboard's not great & the number pad means the trackpad is offset.

No bluetooth but easily & cheaply fixed with a micro adapter.

Strange textured finish.

No HDD activity LED is a pain when it looks like it may have hung, but that may just be me.

As someone else said, what more could you expect for £250 delivered? I've just bought another two for family members.
#23
Ok for the money but not great spec. I think you would be better off spending a bit more for a better model. I personally think that:

is better value.

# 1 x external monitor

Is that DVI or HDMI? If neither, that would be a total deal breaker for me

I wonder if it was mispriced to start with? Or maybe having sold over 200 today they feel they can squeeze a higher price...

Makes the Compaq that someone linked to previously a much better proposition.

Back down to £249.99 again, strange that it went up.

ebuyer change things all the time on their ebay site, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. They seem to change the price, the free P & P on then off.
All seems pot luck and proably how fast they are selling
#32
perfect for the kids .... thanks mate ;)
