There is a 4 page thread on a tech forum but i dont think im aloud to link to it so just search on google:
Toshiba SD-370E Region free
and that seems to have any help you need or a guy to email it to you,

Just to make people aware - this is a refurbished product (as new).

Good deal, even if its refurbished. Goodmans Direct do an upscaling DVD player for £19.99 delivered new, which is a fab unit, but no DivX capability.
#5
Looks good, got the SD-207E (no HDMI out) has a few problems playing DVD-R +R some play some dont, otherwise seems good. Voted hot

Just ordered... Thanks a lot!

Good price but I've had two of these and they were both ****! Broken up pictures and buzzing on TV. Probably why there's so many refurbished.

I'd rather get a no make one, their usually better for the price.
#11
Looks good, I'm after an upscaling divx player but really want one with a front USB port so I can whack stuff onto a memory stick & play that way, still can't have it all for under £20!! Heat added for you.

what is upscaleing?

from wikipedia
taking a low resolution (Standard Definition) video and increasing the resolution to a high resolution (High Definition) video. This does not necessarily mean that the picture becomes clearer/more detailed

This DVD player is fab! great picture plays dvix, great value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vote HOT like me! lol
#15
great deal - only problem is we have 7 dvd players at home at the moment, they just keep piling up!
#16
nice price - just a pity theres no optical out. Seems odd, as that pretty standard nowadays.
#17
Not bad, any ideas on if/when amazon are gonna drop the price on that philips again, i really want that one cos my dk digital is about to go!
#18
Does it have back bitstream divx / xvid support.

Thats because it has coaxial out instead, plus HDMI, although I haven't looked to see if it can bitstream audio through that.

Miine Was Great For A Month Or So
Stopped Playing Divx Now And Jumps, Skips, Pauses No Sound Etc...
#25
Was trying to decide between this and a Philips 5960 but got the Philips last week because of the usb port. Still a good deal tho.

Got this from UKDVDR a while ago - multi-regioned very easily with the .iso and is working a treat (plus it was cheaper then as I got quidco too!)

Decent player but is known for it's infrequent and seemingly random pauses. Only happened about 5 times from 100 but does happen.

Would you says its worth paying £4 to make the warranty 1yr instead of 3 months?

is it possible to hook up a surround sound system to this? I currently have a 3 year old DVD with surround sound system and want to know if can just hook this up and replace my old DVD player?
#29
If it is seperate surround sound then should work if it is inbuilt to the dvd player then possibly not would need more info on the dvd player and surround sound systems..
#30
Looks a good deal! Just hope the refurbs are in decent nick.

I dont doubt this if you are using it, i would think that your keyboard would only last a month too if your using the shift key for the start of every word!!

I have the Goodmans upscaling DVD player. I've had nothing but trouble with it, discs skip, jump and generally it really is hit or miss whether it plays a disc. That includes brand new discs from Play. The remote is cheap and nasty and very choosy about the angle at which it will operate the player.

When the player stopped loading discs completely, Goodmans suggested a master reset which seems to have cured it.

Definitely a case of buy cheap, buy twice.....
#36
take it this wont include a hdmi cable ?

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3326670/Toshiba-SD370E-HDMI-Upscaler-DVD-Player/ProductReviews.html

Maybe a risky buy if these are the returns that freeze...maybe better to buy from Play for a new one and with the £2 off Sunday mail voucher it'll come in at £43.
#38
just to point out there not just returns they are professional refurbs so if they do freeze that problem has therefore been fixed and given new case and stuff (well thats the norm)

and basing it on the 9.99 normal toshiba ones they had (im assuming its these are another part of the same order) but that one didn't have a single mark and works perfect. Personally i think that for the saving refurbs are better as any problems they have had are fixed unlike the ones still being sold which might still have the problems... well thats my opinion
