Saw someone had posted the Toshiba SD-390 Upscaling DVD Player - £30 Instore @ Asda deal, this is extended on that deal, if you buy this with the £40 5.1 Surround Sound system instore this comes out at the till for only £55 which is a brilliant bargain as mentioned in the other deal the cheapest this is elsewhere is £50 so technically the Surround Sound is only £5

Brilliant deal!

This was in the Norwich branch of ASDA by the way, hope this is nation wide

The player is £38 at play..(£40 - 5%)

Have you looked at the surround sound? I guess its ok if you dont have 1 and cant afford £50 for a decent 5.1 2nd hand on ebay etc. However, I expect it has no optical input(so you cant actually get any true surround sound from the DVD player), about 5watts per channel etc.
i dunno, i just clocked it in store... thought it might've been a good deal. was only in there for a quick race around

Ah don't worry about it :D

and thanks for the welcome i feel silly now
Hack if anyone want it

- Power On
- Open Tray
- Press 9879 0 (0 stands for Multiregion, you may press buttons 1 to 6 to choose a specific region)
- A Message appears stating that "The Reg.No was changed to region 0"
0 does not stand for multi-region, it stands for no region code.

RCE coded region 1 disks will not work with it set to region 0, it has to specifically be set to region 1 to work.
Please can anyone confirm when hacked this will play R1 RCE discs?
