The google £10 discount seems to work more than once?

Nice I posted about the Eltex from ebuyer which was about £37.

But for £5 more it is a no brainer to get this instead, voted hot, rep left.

I may get this, looks nice as well. Is this the same one from Sainsburys?
#3
Don't forget your 2% Quidco discount

Yep now I remember.

Does this one have the capability of playing USB sticks, like the Sainsbury's Philips?

Will Quidco still work if you checkout with Google and not the retailer?

Also, does anyone know the codes to make this multi region?

I didn't know any of them did that - It would be good if it does :)

Yes of course it will.

You dont use quidco to checkout, only use it to open the page.

Yeah, but if you're only opening the page you don't get Quidco cashback until you've completed the transaction and made payment with the retailer. Otherwise we'd all be getting cashback for simply opening the retailer's pages.

Has anyone come across one of these before? Regularly updated firmware so it can play brand new divx's, etc etc? Should i buy one to go with my tosh hd-lcd?
#13
Still a good price for this :) Thanks rawhead :pirate:

this looks like a fantastic deal

what does the upscaling part do ?
#15
erm might be a stupid question but what is the google checkout and how do you use it?

#16
Only downside is getting this multi region.
Its no good to me if it is stuck in Region 2 :(

Google checkout is like the new Google alternative to Paypal. They are offering £10 off all orders over £30 with unlimiited usage i.e. you can buy use it on 10 items priced £30 as long as they are all sperate.

Do a search within the forum and you'll find some deals

Same here.

I've searched all over for region hacks for this model but it looks like it's too new for them to be posted any where. I have noticed that one person tried other Tosh codes without success.

Toshiba are notorious for having non hackable DVD players.
I had mine chipped...

You can buy it region free from Superfi for £60.
That is a better deal for me.

But if I can get this Multi-Region.... :)

A lot of recient Toshiba DVD player models (and I think it includes this) have a very bright led light which stays on during playback. On some you can switch them off during playback but the come back on the next time. From what i've read the light is soo bright that it's can ruin watching a movie. For this reason (and a few other i can't remember now) I returned mine.

I just didn't want the bright blue led always on my mind.

Also I've heard the build on Toshibas are not too great which may mean they won't last that long (but then again you're not paying bucket-loads for it).

Hope this helps anyone.:)
