I saw in Tesco they had the earlier model (without USB) reduced to £40, I decided to have a look on the internet to see of any better deals and found this.
I'm thinking of ordering it so if you vote cold please could you say why. I can't quite afford a blu ray yet and the reviews look good on it.

Can i just upload normal avi's(films i have downloaded, legally...) to the usb and play them without any converting?

I was wondering the same thing myself, its mentioned here in the review

Bought this to go with my new toshiba Tv, its got excellent upscaling technology to 1080p and you can play downloaded films through the usb slot. Fantastic colours and depth. Disney's cars is almost Blue Ray standard...honestly. Excellent purchase for the money!


So I'm guessing its a yes.

Yes no problem.........:thumbsup:
although subtitles can be a bit of a problem (if needed) playing on some movies.
