I have a toshiba 32wlt66 lcd tv, and have been after one of these for some time. When they first came out, they cost upto £160, but this is now £49.99 from empire direct, the cheapest I've seen anywhere.

When I was in store collecting mine, I saw the stock screen for the UK, and it looked like most stores had plenty.

This is my first post, so I hope its OK, and I've not worked out how to add a picture yet!

I notice it says it's only for the 37/42/47 but I've got a 32wlt66 like you. How does it connect and would it be possible to hook up to an existing surround sound system thus getting rid of my current sub?

Well on the tosh web site, it defo says it works with the 32WLT66, and thats my tv model number (just checked) and its on and working !

The 32WLT66 model doesnt have a dedicated sub out, so the book says to connect it to the white audio out on the back of the tv.

I'm not sure you can get rid of your other sub, which I assume has its own amp, basically, now that I've added this sub to my tv, I wont be adding full surround, as this does a pretty good job for my needs.

This is ridiculously cheap, and I've thought about getting one of these before (to go with my wlt3266 tv - we all got suckered by that WhatHifi report eh?) but eventually decided not to because I thought it will look unsightly underneath the tv.

Has anyone got one and can say whether it does or not - and whether it sticks out too far?

This sub mounts on the back of the tv on the vesa mount holes, not under it. from the front you cant see the sub at all. But you cant mount the sub on the back, as well as mount the tv on a wall, which is ok for me as its on a stand.

Got one of these on my 37WLT68 but got mine off ebay for about the same price a while back.

Thanks Acer - mine was always going to go on the wall, so it is going to stick out somewhere. Shame though...dirt cheap at £50.

No problem our dave, I would have mounted mine, but I got the toshiba stand as a freebee when I got my tv, so it would be a waste not to use it!
