I have these units where work much faster I formatted NTFS and copy via USB3 and get 40=90mpbs
Well made good drive. Caps are easy to lose ;)

5 year warrantee, good branded product no bloatware good honest drive ideal for movies and general use. Seems to work in most PC I've set some up as installers disk for Win8 and Win8.1 room for Office 2013 and Start8. Installs to SSD are fast. Units have been very reliable and robust. Build quality is excellent all metal USB connector (unlike the Lexar crisp packet units)

These are not uber slow like the Sandisk Cruzer. Sustained write around 40-50mbs on USB 3 port with Fastcopy (Explorer is slow)
I get around 20-36 on a USB2 Port sustained.
Ejecting the driver after a write can take 20s or so.

This is good compromise on speed and price. Modern drive, well made.
If you want speed look at the expensive stuff like the JetFlash.

The Lexar USB drives really are not much better in use as the sustain i/o is limited by the nand flash controller and have the burst of USB3 speed is only a few seconds before you hit the write wall of the NAND. This is true for all low prices USB3 drives not just Lexar.

Are you using FAT32 format (this is how it arrives) format as NTFS and I use fastcopy not Windows Explorer on a USB3 port from a HD that is not doing other things (like running Windows, swap etc) the NEC Chip are faster than VIA in my expereince also the type of motherboard / CPU had an impact as USB depends on CPU / memory speeds also. I'm on Win7
