Good reviews as well. It is not able to be Multi-regioned via the remote control unfortunately, but there is a firmware hack available to download. This is then burnt to cd/dvd. Details can be found on avforums here:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508285&highlight=SD370E

The hack itself is actually downloadable here:

Ordered one - I was looking for a 1080p multi-region but for £26.99 I can live with 720p

edit - Quidco tracked as well getting a further £1.70 in cashback!

bought one of these for my mum a couple of weeks ago for nearly twice the price. liked it so much, i've just ordered one for myself for the bedroom.

firmware upgrade/region hack is *really* simple to do, if you can burn a cd from an iso file, then you can do this.

these units will play pretty much any xvid type video file you can throw at it (not tried HD avi files though, but SD ones play just fine). its not a patch on xbox media centre, but its cheap, convenient and looks really nice.

ITS DIVX, XVID only. Will not play any HD AVI files at all. It upscales SD only.
Sppears not even able to play Nero Digital files.

Correct me if wrong.

i doubt youre wrong.

i dont use nero digital, all of my files are SD xvid/avi format files... i dont have a HD telly, so have no need for playing HD or upscaling, but the futureproofing for when i do get an lcd telly is a bonus.

Looks good even tho i dont need one

sorry if this sounds stupid but ive never heard of this company before, are they any good? as iam thinking of buying one xD

Can anyone explain what this does over a normal DVD player?
I've got a HD telly, so will this make normal DVD's look better?
Or can I play divx files on it at better quality and not have to bother with converting to DVD format on the PC first?

posted before by louiselouise ! Simple really.
#14
Can't find it on site anymore either....
#15
Yep...I'm sure that Louiselouise posted the deal first when I looked yesterday morning.
#16
Received this about half an hour ago in great condition for A-grade and applied the region hack posted above.

The hack worked a treat and I am very pleased as it seems a decent player and upscaler and for the price it's excellent.
#17
nope i posted it but i made a little mistake it got removed but Louiselouise took credit
hence she has not defended her self
#18
Mine doesn't work - no picture :-(

Time to find out how good their returns policy is.
#19
Not sure what I did to offend you bridtown, but I'm not the type of person to flame someone or slate them. I don't have to "defend myself". (?)

Looks like the mods deleted the duplicate post when I pointed it out, that's nothing to do with me. Your post which you made after mine said dvd.co.uk, instead of ukdvdr.co.uk, so perhaps that's why.

I don't mind who gets credit for this deal!
