Breathe new life into your movie collection, extracting fantastic picture quality from Standard Definition DVDs with the sleek and sophisticated Toshiba XDE600 DVD Player. Get unbelievable results and receive a pristine 1080p signal to your High Definition TV via HDMI.

The key to the performance of the Toshiba XDE600 DVD Player is its XDE technology, which goes beyond standard upscaling by including 3 additional video processing steps. Detail, colour and contrast are each intelligently enhanced for optimum results with an HDTV. The player provides a superb viewing experience with 720p, 1080i and 1080p televisions.

You'll also be able to experience this superb quality when playing back DivX movies from a USB drive. Just plug the drive into the USB port of the Toshiba XDE-600 to enjoy first-class playback of downloaded videos. This versatile player can also play MP3 music tracks, display JPEG digital photos, and play audio CDs.

The Toshiba XDE600 DVD Player doesn't neglect sound either, with 2-channel analogue audio out, digital co-axial output, and support for 3D virtual surround sound. And if you haven't yet made the leap to digital TV, you'll be happy to know you can choose to connect your TV via a traditional SCART socket.

When blu-ray players can be had for £20 more.... I just don't get why anyone would pay this much for a DVD player. Yes it's the cheapest you're likely to find at the moment, but cheesus that's dear. for a few quid more you can get surround sound too. plus most decent TVs upsscale anyway.......

agree with above post - why not just get a blu-ray player and be done with it?
