  Having tried them all other than the one starring some French guy, my favourite was medieval 2 total war... That can be found cheaper and needs a much lower spec system.

  Have a look at the comments from reviews on Amazon, looks like Steam must be installed and internet connection permanently on as as well. What a downer, was nearly tempted.

  Good deal. The new play alone expansion made this original version a bit redundant. Plat has had this version on offer for £3.99, so under £5 is a pretty standard price.

  The game is hard as nails, there's no guarantee that you won't get wiped out by the computer that may or may not go around with a single army of about 3000 troops mopping up the entire map.
