This seems a good buy in this weather, only £10 plus postage, had one come on sat (good guess I was going to be sweating!). Cant see much about it on the next website (Or even get a direct link) but its tall, has a timer (so it turns after after so many mins/hours) and rotates. Taller than it looks!
(hope this works, its my first submit).

I got one of the £14.99 tower fans Lidl had on sale recently. Best summer time purchase I've made in ages. It's massive and shifts a huge amount of air. Way better than the standard desktop style circular fans. As for this brand I don't know but £10 seems a good price especially in this heat.

Had one of these for 2 or 3 years now and no problems at all - great for getting the baby to sleep - provides white noise and keeps the room cool :) Paid a lot more than this for ours - was around £40 if I remember rightly, so very good deal.

they do a mini one for £7 if size is a problem and its got a good range as its reaching other half on opposite side of room (about 12 feet) but only about 15 inches tall

I don't have a catalogue either, and the website is useless - so no dimensions on it.

There's also no specification for the noise output - you'd rarely get this info to be honest. Give them a call on 0844 844 8333 - lines open 'til 11pm apparently - 5p per min.

Another point, this won't generate cold air, it will merely recirculate the air within a room - you need an air con unit for cold air generation.

We have a tower fan setup in the layout you've described on our landing this year ... it seems to make a difference, but its early days still

I think you'll find that if you do introduce the fan, the noise will help keep your little one asleep longer with less waking up in the night. The white noise overkills the little silly noises that wake them up when its dead quite... I myself have that problem, I can't sleep without the fan and tend to run it as long as I'm "allowed" into the start of winter as I can

just bought two today from Aldi 14.99 each .
#18
Just my bitchy tupence: these have awful CFM (cubic feet/minute in shifting air) compared to proper 16" fans, I have a Bionaire BAC19 which makes these look pants.

Voted hot.

Had one of these for a couple of years and worked in a treat when I am working in my loft.

no because you need a customer number for that and wont get it till you receive your order, it is also only an online account for next, you cant use it instore
#28
Do they have them in Aldi now?

By far the most useless experience buying something for the fist time after marshall ward.

Signed me up for the credit account which I also don't want. Can't log back in to cancel the account as I do not have a customer number. No customer number sent by email either, so nothing can be done now. WIll have to wait till morning to call them. My experience with marshall ward tells me that the guys on the phone will have absolutely no information whatsoever about my order and will say that your account number will be on the invoice and will be sent with your order. Also, they will not be able to cancel the order over the phone as the online order systems would be completely different from the system they work on. Bloody typical.

As I registered with these morons for the first time, I also could not figure out where/how to key-in the voucher code and accidently placed the order with the £3.75 delivery charges. Actually, when I looked again at the account registration process, I noticed that there is no way a first time customer will be able to get free delivery using the voucher code as there is no place itself to enter the voucher code.

Also, does someone know that if I return my order at the nearest next store, do they refund the delivery charges as well??

when you checkout, there will be a promotional code box, if you have gone through a cashback site this box will not be there, also you need to phone up and ask for no catalogues to be sent, as these are charged i think twice per year
#31
Mine's on right now :) But I paid much more than a tenner :(
#32
ordered mine without using a code, and i don't have an account.
I simply agreed to have a catalogue which is charged £3.75, with free delivery.
But then went back and deleted the catalogue and the free delivery remained.
#33
I've purchase 2 of these, and had to return both with the same fault. I wouldn't waste your money
#34
Just the job with the weather so humid, ordered mine but no free del codes working so having store pick up, cheers.

Unless I am being stupid, which I probably am, I just managed to buy one without providing any details other than an address to send the product to.

ditto....
Ive just rang and told them where they can put the order and to close account.
You will be charged for Next directories twice annually unless you ring and complain then they will put a note on account.

Looks identical to the one that I have, I got mine from Wickes last year for a tenner, it works fine, very quiet as well.

brought one at focus for £10. had most of the range reduced, some below 1/2 price.

How straightforward was the above to do (the going back and deleting the catalogue bit)? I'd like to do similar, don't want two of their catalogues every year at £3.75 a pop ;-)
