Does anyone still buy Alu, after the revelation that it causes Alzheimers type brain damage?

Foods like tomatoes will leach Alu out of the metal and into your body, where it builds up in the brain.

I also havent had much joy with these steel plate jobs on an induction hob, they work, but nowhere near as well as a proper SS construction, and on one, the plate decided to separate from the rest of the pan (and a top brand as well)

I don't know is it cause or not, but I had one alu from argos and even potatoes tasted awful from it. Everything what I cooked in it tasted metallic. I returned it and I bought tefal stainless steel from them (and cooked food stop taste metallic) so for me it's 0-1 situation. I didn't believe in it till I tasted. False economy.

http://www.alzheimer.ca/en/About-dementia/Alzheimer-s-disease/Risk-factors/Aluminum

"Most researchers no longer regard aluminum as a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease. However, some researchers are still examining whether some people are at risk because their bodies have difficulties in handling foods containing the metals copper, iron, and aluminum."

Its not the cause of Alzheimers per sé, but it does cause symptoms very similar.(hence the word "type").

Go look what happened when powdered Alu was accidentally added to a village water supply 30 years ago.
