Was £39.99 since beginning of December but was in today and see they have now been reduced by £10. With its 3 year warranty, even if it broke a day after the warranty expired its only cost £10 a year to own. Just cooked my first meal with it and it came out great.

Thanks for your helpful posts joedi and ZEbbEDY. Do you own one of these? I do and it cooks oven chips really nicely, and is excellent for pizzas, roast potatoes as well as everything you'd normally cook in a halogen oven. The air fry trays allow the chips to cook as much more evenly than a normal halogen or oven. Its so good I've bought a second one and we use it instead of the main cooker all the time now.

The air fry trays?
I agree with the other guys, it seems nothing like an airfryer so can you explain what you mean plz, does is use a halogen bulb like a halogen oven or is it using the same tech as a Phillips Airfryer?

A lot of companies are jumping on the bandwagon and calling halogen cookers airfryers but this is a halogen cooker, no doubt, but it will come with two large circular trays. One is solid and one has holes punched in it. You could also cut one of those pizza meshes down to size an use it for chips on the racks. You could, as I did, buy an "air fryer" attachment which will do the same job.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Halogen-Oven-Air-Fryer-Ring-Attachment-Accessory-ideal-for-Frying-Grillling/131381167112?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28111%26meid%3D2f0befe9b4614401846da7ce500e54ba%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D11472%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D141490833758 It was a bit of a waste of money as it didn't do the chips any better but at least I have a spare extender ring now. I've found Asda cheap oven chips the best. Hope this helps

Thats a halogen oven not an Airfryer. Its not a bad price as its a decent capacity oven. they are normally 12l.

You're obviously not doing it right.

these are great had my oven about 6 years no issues get the extender ring

These come with the extender ring, 2 mesh trays (that look like chip fryer baskets) for 'air frying', a low rack and high rack. The great thing about this is its been designed so that you can use both racks at the same time :). Its not the same as the tefal air fryer, but cooks chips better in my opinion as long as you don't overload the racks or forget the odd mist of oil/frylite.

Had one for a couple of days. Really has nothing to do with frying and I couldn't see a single benefit over our fan oven. Managed to send it back thankfully.
This is an oven not a fryer so don't be fooled by the marketing, that said it may be a perfectly good oven.

Also forgot to add that the instruction book is really helpful, but you need to read it!

A lot cheaper to run than a fan oven (certainly for a single person) and it is possible to fry in this. Fried eggs, omelettes etc. The only thing I found that it doesn't do too well is toast, and it is also helpful to turn a pizza over about halfway through cooking to crisp the base.

we tend to use our halogen ovens rather than the main oven but cooking home made chips in it doesn't really work. Great oven? Yes. Air fryer? no.

For reference even the new philips onedescribes its product as a "fan oven"..

Do you need to preheat this?

Its been superb for everything I've thrown in it up until now. Even these dreaded pizzas!

hi can you help me please i have this tower fryer for 3mths and have not used it but can not get any instructions on how to cook chips how to do it or how long they should be on for how high the temperature should be how much oil to use or where to place the oil can you please help

Put the chips into the mesh tray on the low rack, spray lightly with oil, 200 degrees, and turn after 5 mins, spray again and turn again after 5 mins (15 mins in total) - the frozen oven chips from lidl (57p per bag - NOT the chunky ones!) work really well :)
