I was in Boots the Chemist in Rotherham yesterday and couldn't believe the prices of some of the toys. Was in a real hurry or I'd have noted full details for everyone here - sorry it's a bit sketchy.

Some items seemed to have 75% off, and when I took them to the till the prices on many things were even cheaper again.

WHAT'S MORE, IT WAS ALL ON THE 3-FOR-2 GIFT OFFER AS WELL!

Girl's Lego set was £2.50
Jenga was 75p
Wibble-wobble board £5
Large truck with tools £5
Monster magnetics game £1.50
Fab phonics electronic game £4.25
Little driver pushchair toy £3
Large soft cloth puppet book £2
Baby curiosity cube £2.50
Fisher Price Calcubot £3.75
Tomy Stack/Pop/Tumble £3.75 (still at £15 on their website
(and all even cheaper after the 3-for-2, which the till automatically does the intelligent way so you get every 3rd cheapest item free, not just the cheapest ones out the whole lot)

The advantage machine also gave me £3 off £35 spend, and when I paid I got 2 different £5 skincare vouchers. Totally filled the boot of the car with toys, and spent around £30.

Not sure about other stores...anyone?

Yes, actually! Quite a lot of these are fairly big boxes. I got the last item off the shelf for of a couple of things but there were still lots left of some, and a lot of things that I didn't take at all as they weren't of interest to my kids. Got 2 kids, plus a few bits and bobs for friends so I don't think that was excessive.

Parkgate. I was only there to have a look at the TK Maxx final clearance and called into Boots for a bar of chocolate  - not a lot left there but worth a look if you're heading over that way anyway. Going to look in Boots & TKM in Donny in about an hour so will let you know if there's much to be had there.
#6
Oh, should have mentioned - swimwear was also 75% off absolutely everything.

They had loads of Speedo swimsuits and some quite nice bikinis. Loads of size 8-10-12's, a few 14s and 16. Also a few sarongs and some baby/toddler girls suits.
#7
Does anyone know of any other Boots stores doing this ?
Post details if you do

Just been to my local Boots in solihull town centre and they had a few toys wih 75% off but they were all for 0 to 18 months so no good for me - there were big teletubbies reduced to £6, teletubby bath toy and boots own brand bubble car, play garage set and a couple of other things. Also had the 75% off all swimwear/beachwear but not much to choose from. Will try the larger Boots later.
#9
Picked up 3 Postman Pat Friction Vans for a total of just £5 in Staines this morning (these are going for £10 each in the entertainer, etc)
Also had Bubble Garages reduced from £20 to £5

Still quite a few left as well..

Lol!

Called in to Doncaster this morning to see if there was anything there - a few bits and bobs but nothing on the scale they had in Rotherham Parkgate.

Also noticed that some of the things that were reduced in Rotherham weren't reduced in Donny and vice versa. And not everything has the correct price on the shelf - I just took a load of stuff to the cash desk and got the prices checked, loads of it was wrong.

For older girls, there was a lovely 'paint your own teaset' kit for £1.25. 8yrs plus - looks like it might amuse the nieces for half an hour or so!
#14
Typical, my nearest Boots (Moorgate EC2) is about the size of a teacup, and has about 10% of what normal Boots stores sell. Guess I'll be missing out on these then!

Great find btw.

Yep must be nationwide but I think the sale must be coming to an end and it'll just be luck if there's much left in your area. I went to the Boots in Glasgow (Fort) for a look after a friend told me she'd got a swimming costume for £5 last Sunday. When I got there yesterday there were only 3 left (got one for £7.50)... didn't notice any toys and it was advertised as an end of season clearance on summer stock.

They had a few bits & bobs left in Boots in Derby on Tuesday. They were putting the new stuff out, so I assume this is all the old stock. At these prices, I don't care though!

I got the Scooby Doo Sand Art for £1.25 instead of £2.50 like a couple of posters have said.

I was also very surprised when it came up as a 3 for 2 offer.

Scooby Doo Sand Art £1.25
Diego Electronic toy £2.50
Badge Maker £1.50
Scooby Doo Comic Maker £2.50
Boots Detective Kit £1.25
Princess Lego Duplo £2.50

and a few other bits I can't remember now!

For info - to save someone a journey - there's very little at the Cheshire Oaks store ... and what they do have is a maximum of 50% off - with some toys still being full price. Oh well.

Still, the 3 for 2 offer still works

Which store was this?

Anyone seen anything in the North West?
#34
Southend in Essex.
#35
A friend was in Doncaster today and said some more stuff had been reduced, so I'll check tomorrow and see if she's right or just hadn't noticed the stuff the first time. Possible, as there was some stuff there the other day that was still full price, that I'd seen reduced in Rotherham the day before.
#36
Not many toys left but they had loads of baby stuff at 75% off. Hippychick seat was £6-odds, cot and pram bedding a couple of quid.

Still some great deals to be had.
#37
Nothing left in Huddersfield, except some baby bedding, and some travel system raincovers & baby carriers. Sorry I have pregnancy brain & don't remember the prices  (other than to think- 'OO, that's very cheap'.

My sister checked out Halifax and even less there.

Just been back into the Southend, Essex store and brought:
Philips Baby Monitor with dial up function for £15 (nearly £100 on Amazon!)
Mothercare Travel Cot for £5 (was £40 in the Boots brochure!)
#39
Has anyone been to the Watford or London Colney branches recently. My friend is pregnant so I would love to pick her up some bargains.
#40
Prob too late for me to get anything now but still, heat and rep added :)
