Toy Story When a flashy new 'space ranger' named Buzz Lightyear enters the world of a pull-string cowboy named Woody, it sparks an outrageously funny tiff between toys. Now, Woody's top spot in the heart of his young owner is in jeopardy...and soon so are the lives of Woody and Buzz! Accidentally whisked away from home and into the clutches of a neighborhood bully.

Toy Story 2 brings back those original partners Woody and Buzz Lightyear, joined by a roundup of heartwarming, unforgettable new characters, including Jessie the cowgirl, Bullseye the horse and Stinky Pete the prospector. While Andy is away at summer camp, Woody is toynapped by Al, a greedy collector. Before you can say 'to infinity and beyond,' Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, Hamm, Rex and Slinky Dog spring into action in a thrilling and hilarious rescue mission that will have everyone cheering!

Two features. TOY STORY and TOY STORY 2 - a dazzling sequel to the 1995 blockbuster. Andy heads off to summer camp, leaving the toys behind to fend for themselves. In much the same way Buzz discovered he is a mass-produced product in the first instalment, Woody discovers that he is a valuable collectible spawned by a popular 1950s kiddie-puppet TV show, 'Woody's Roundup Gang' when he is kidnapped by an evil toy collector, Al McWhiggin. Through Al, who plans to sell him to a Japanese toy museum, Woody is reunited with the toy versions of his TV cohorts plucky cowgirl Jessie (Cusack), prospector Stinky Pete (Grammer), and trusty horse Bullseye. Woody must choose between seeing Andy grow up and forsake him and living a sterile but eternal life behind glass being admired but not played with. Meanwhile, the rest of the original toy troupe undergoes a thrilling crosstown adventure to locate their kidnapped friend and restore him his rightful owner. Extremely entertaining, surprisingly touching, endlessly thrilling eye candy for anyone of any age. Golden Globe Winner: Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.

Is it?!? Good stuff!

Must admit I do like the full collections of things like this. Imagine my face a while back when I bought Superman 1-4 set, the Indiana Jones 1-4 set... Need I go on?!?

Great price for these 2 though. Not seen them this low for ages!

Double bubble I like

Cold - Brilliant but old as the hills and should be giving it away on DVD now.

DVD is old technology and I wouldn't recommend anybody bought the discs any more. I see this as a last attempt to get a few £££s before the Blu-ray release.

cold? COLD? you sir an idiot. There are many people who cant afford blu ray, quite frankly the blu ray prices are a rip off, dvds wont be dieing any time soon, so take your fanboy comment somewhere else thank you.

Also it seems you slate every deal, not very positive are you?

Plus well done on finding out this deal, heat and rep added, i been trying to find toy story 1 and 2 cheap for ages and this is a good price, well done.

No, you sir...are a dinosaur.

A cheap price for old technology is not good...it's fair. Just like discounted end of line TVs etc.

They reduce bread in the supermarket at the end of the day too.

Who cares what you think about DVDs? You vote hot or cold on whether or not it's a good price - not whether or not the item itself interests you personally. It's as simple as that.

As most blu-ray players can also play DVDs, I personally think that DVDs will last for a good few years yet (especially when it comes to kids films, cos they don't really care if it's in hi-def or not) - but my opinion is as irrelevant as yours. Like it says on this site's code of conduct - "If you have no interest or knowledge about the deal at all, please don’t vote cold, just move on"

So please stop voting cold on items you think are "old technology". Quite a few people disagree with you, and would like to see these bargains that you're trying your best to spoil.

Think you are totally missing the target market here. It's Toy Story > 3-8yr olds who didn't see it when it was first released will love this & the CGI hasn't dated compared to a lot of modern movies.

What sort of equipment do you think these children have in their bedrooms ? Honestly I can't think that you have children yourself to make an inexperienced comment like that. If you do they must be highly technically advanced infants. I keep thinking of Comic Book Guy now :w00t:

It really annoys me when idiots vote cold because they personally don't like the item - you don't vote on whether or not you think the item is worth paying for, you vote hot if you think it's the cheapest available, and therefore a hot deal for those who do want to buy it. And if you don't like the item, you ignore it rather than voting cold & slating it!

grrr!

this is a great price btw- voted hot!

You know you try to help someone :whistling:;-)

Point it you'd possibly watch some 18 rated movie, eg Wanted, in Dolby digital on a blue ray player to get the full max effect with surround sound etc

An 8yr would stick this in their DVD in their bedroom so would be quite happy with a DVD - the fact that the adults do as well is a bonus (I love it). Opposite side of the coin. No need for fancier formats. Target audience is broader but includes kids, so this is a great deal. Being a DVD is not a reason to vote cold here. D-oh :p

realdarkprince - if you can't make comments without getting personal, don't bother, it's pathetic.

The fact is that this is still £5 per movie for films that were made around a decade ago. When you have movies like The Shawshank Redemption going for £2.99, there's a massive imbalance here. The Shawshank Redemption has been voted in enough polls the best movie of all time, yet it's cheaper than Toy Story. Why? Because Disney like to rip people off. There's always a premium of Disney DVD and they introduce them "for a limited time" to increase demand. It's all marketing hype and profiteering.

When Disney start to price a reasonable price for their DVDs, then I'll start voting them hot. £5 is not a good price for an old movie...better movies have gone much cheaper. The only reason this hasn't, is because of Disney.
