LEGO City 4435 Car and Caravan £4.20 at Amazon

38
It comes up more expensive in search results but hit the product page and it's £4.20. I haven't bought one so I don't know if it definitely goes through at that price though.

Was this a random 3rd party seller clearing out some stock? If so I suspect they may have over sold what they had after it popped up on HUKDs.
It was sold by Amazon, so hopefully it'll come to fruition :)
I really would like to know the mechanism at Amazon for setting prices, there have been some really strange, really cheap deals recently but they are only there for a few hours. I just don't see any reason for them to do it on purpose and the way they appear and disappear just makes me think they are mistakes. But you would think a organisation like Amazon would have systems to catch things like this.Makes no sense, but I don't mind if I get cheap Lego!

Whenever Amazon suddenly slash the price of an item, it probably means they are price matching another retailer. In this case, I think someone mentioned that Asda were selling it for this price so they are price matching ASDA.

Just seems a bit daft to price match items that are obviously just reduced to clear. I know you have to be competitive, but they are just loosing money for no reason here. I am not saying they should stop mind you!

Tesco do it too, I guess it's the perils of (I assume) semi automated systems.

I'm not moaning or bitching because I missed out. But I'm pretty sure others would have wanted them as presents etc. instead of someone being greedy and ordering 'spares'

Personally it bugs me when someone orders a bunch of items, rather than ordering only 1 or 2, effectively preventing other users of the site benefiting from the deal. But do consider there's no way of knowing how many of an item are for sale. If someone is going to order loads, I'd rather a contributor who posts a few deals get the items than someone who never posts a deal and places an order for 10. And I think it's slightly different if someone is going to use the item, it's not half as bad as someone who orders loads to put them on ebay, Unfortunately it's part and parcel of using the site,
