So good you had to say it twice.

Cheaper at Currys and Maplin. I suspect Amazon were trying to price match someone

top tech getting more reasonable than cheap

Amazon is the cheapest for the VR2600, you are looking at the C2600 at currys, which is the version without the modem. This is a good deal.

I picked up the C2600 for £109 a year ago off Amazon, this is a good router but this isn't a good deal.

I got this at £150 a few weeks ago.
Nice having wifi scheduling but no QOS :(

How so? It's as cheap as it's ever been.

This is what you can get at currys:
http://www.tp-link.com.au/products/details/cat-9_Archer-C2600.html#specifications

and amazon:
http://www.tp-link.com.au/products/details/cat-15_Archer-VR2600.html#specifications

Two two different models Amazon is offering VR2600 Wireless Gigabit VDSL/ADSL Modem Router
vs Currys AC2600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router.
