Great price and if you have a DLNA Sony TV or Blu Ray player a far cheaper alternative to the Sony Dongle.

If you have the Sony tv and an xbox that both need to be hard wired how is the best way to do it?
I presume each home plug has only one ethernet port

You can plug a hub into one of these.

router or switch then to tv and xbox

man these are getting cheaper and cheaper. are these newest standards or older versions. ideally would want one with passthrough. my N router and pc suffer bad interference, could do with N on the homeplug for pc/xbox tho, but those are expensive still but old router could do in a pinch.

Bet your wife's made up with you trailing that around the house!! ;)

hi all

there are two standards "homeplug" and "powerline".

these will not work with each other, but should work from different makes with the same standard.

ho and you can find them here cheaper if you are buying more than two,

Can these be used into a double-wall socket without problems or do they really need to be entirely on their own into the wall?

I have a double-wall socket next to the computer and router. Could I use one socket for a mains extension cable and the other for the Ethernet adapter? I want to watch HD material elsewhere in the house.

yes no problem, you can even use them on extension leads,

but you can not use them with surge protectors.

Don't use hubs. Hubs are stone age technology.

Wtf? So you think he should buy two powerline adaptors for the same location instead of plugging a hub into one powerline adaptor?
