Good grief. That seems tiny for such a large amount of power.

got this for £20 from Asda a while back used to charge my phone an tablet off it easy.

Will this charge a laptop - i.e. a dell?

I had a look on the Amazon product page and there are two people asking the same question - alas, one answer is that it does charge a laptop battery and another that says it will not.

It's unlikely to be able to charge a laptop as most need higher voltages and currents than the 5V @ 2.0A that this USB charger allows (19V is common in laptop chargers). If you have a smaller notebook that can charge off USB, then I would think this should be able to charge it.

Thank you. I will look for something else that is laptop specific.

Looks like it could contain four 18600 lithium cells. One of those can be up to 3400mAh capacity.

Ah, right - such a thing does not exist. Thanks. I have never bought one of these devices so just assumed that there were ones out there for laptops. Makes me even more annoyed that many laptops now come with non-removable batteries

There are such things for laptops, but rather larger and rather dearer.

Examples

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intocircuit-26000mAh-External-Notebooks-Lightning/dp/B00AV4M1LQ

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poweradd-23000mAh-Multi-Voltage-Portable-Notebooks/dp/B013HXKZYW

Similar ones often on Amazon lightning deals, but not seen any under about £35 yet

I got this a few months back in a Tesco clearance. It only charges an iPhone twice then it's dead. Wouldn't pay more than a tenner for it

Saw 3 or 4 of these in Sainsbury's, Prestwick, a couple of days ago. Only one today, so I bought it. A kind of half-way house between the wee juicecube, and my 28000mAh Aukey, which I use for my Surface Pro.

Your's is not well then.

Had one of these since they launched - charges my iphone for a whole week's worth of travel. Really handy to take on longer haul routes too.

Sounds like you want one of these, you may be waiting a while but it might be the only power bank you ever need:

It's interesting you mentioned Tesco, and some month's back?.

About 1+ months back after you got your cheapy one from Tesco's, then this came up too:

TP-Link 10400mAh Power Bank - £6 - Tesco Instore

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/tp-link-10400mah-power-bank-6-tesco-instore-2484005

Looks like they've come up with some good cheap ones of late? (hopefully more of the same later too ... ) :-)

Something like this is a bit more reasonable, many of the car jump start chargers will charge laptops as well - have a look on Amazon. You can get them in the UK too.
#25
OOS for me. Struggling to get a decent powerbank as Amazon don't deliver them to NI :(
#26
Yes, coming up as not available online. There might still be some in-store, but I'll expire the deal.
