I was in the Mitcham store and noticed a sign mentioning if you bring in 2 Xbox 360 games, you can trade them in for any 360 title.

Spoke to the man behind the counter to confirm if it was any of the new titles and to my suprise he said it was!!!

I was told that as long as the two games were worth around £8 trade in value, it would be fine.

Rushed home, rushed back and got:-

CALL OF DUTY 4 - for Just Cause & Football Manager 06
HALF LIFE 2: THE ORANGE BOX - for UEFA Champions Lge & Just Cause
VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 - for Lego Star Wars Original Trilogy & Prey

Deal was so good I went back again with two other games and got my mate :-

CALL OF DUTY 4 - for PES6 & FEAR

Assistant said its a new deal they have introduced recently. My 1st post, hope its a good one

    this seems a very good deal you can get the titles mentioned, or similar ones at pretty low prices making call of duty 4 and other new releases very cheap heat added

    Yeah the one in northern ireland does the same deal on ds games and wii. It5s prop the same for ps3 but i only have those 2 so have only checked out for them

    Word of Advice if you are going for this deal: -

    Those that are considering on buying the cheapest games available and then trying to trade in, I suggest you check instore which games you will be able to do this with as they have to be worth some trade in value on their system. When I went in the 1st time, I was told as long as the games were worth roughly £8 trade in value I could do it. When I went in the 2nd time, another guy who served me said that I could trade in PES6 (£4 trade in value) because it was with FEAR (£16 trade in value) and that the two games need to equal £20 trade in value or half of the amout of the game you want.

    So it depends on who serves you I guess.

    They had a sign up in the Mitcham store that it was also any two DS games for a new DS game but the sign said it expired 07/07 so I ignored it?

    Can someone name some titles that I would be able to get at either Game or Gamestation that would be suitable for trade in in this deal?
    I'm assuming buying pre-owned games for trade in is ok - if I'm able to get a couple of new games this would really help my christmas shopping!

    So, how many of us are going to Mitcham tomorrow? lol

    definitely gonna have a crack at this deal, but gonna hold out til Friday i think cos that's when Assassin's Creed is released...that's if Smyth's get new games in on release day...

    Hi, not sure if it helps but there is a blockbuster just down the road from Smyths in mitcham, so could always pick up some cheap games there if needed...

    Anyone know if this would get me a free game..

    I would probably look at buying one from blockbuster to make up the 4, if not, would i have enough for COD do u think..tried calling but were very unhelpfull

    Looking at what Matrixblade traded in i would say that any 2 of those would get you a new game, especially if one of them is Bioshock i would have thought.

    just back from my local smyths store, first chap i asked about promotion said ther was no such promotion and indeed none of the games where marked as in the 2 for one promotion (same as ds games),on the way out i asked another guy and he told me that if i trade in 2 360 games i would automatically get an extra £10 store credit and depending on games traded in i just pay a fiver for a latest release, so very different promotion here from the one listed,way too busy at 9.05am ,at least they had wii's in stock.bit of a wasted trip so be careful guys and dont be too disapointed

    Its at least £12 trade in per game at romford branch, it appears to be different from store to store. Spent 10 mins on hold, and had to speak to two different ppl as they didnt have a clue.

    guy says until he gets guidance on what games to accept he has to accept ANY 360 game.

    I have just been to the mitcham shop and it worked fine...

    There are signs there saying it is trade 2 get 1 free..

    The t&c's are...

    The combined trade in value must be over half the cost of the game you want. I also asked if it finished tomorrow as I heard it had and they said they ahd heard nothing about that. They said they cant promise, but expect it to be on for a while yet. They even mentioned that on the poster it says offer end 7/7/07 which proves how long it has stayed on for...

    I managed to trade

    call of duty 3 (£6) & Gears of war (£15) for halo

    &

    Bioshock (£17) & pro evolution 6 (£4) for cod 4

    it will depend which deal the outlet is doing,
    phone them and find out,
    it could be the trade 2 for a new game but games must get over certain value in trade in to qualify
    or
    trade ANY 2 360 games and £5 for a new game.

    well done mate, smyths in Derry didnt have a clue, im just wondering if the 2 sales guys give me duff information,how can it be different from store to store? and whats this extra £5,most of the guys here taking up the offer didnt seem to pay this extra £5,if anyone else has any more current tradein values of 360 games at smyths let us know here, ill chip in smackdown 2007 was £3! kameo was £2
